The wolf tournament was an event every werewolf was forced to watch. If you were picked you'd compete. It was a fight to the death. Snow said that was how they made money. I wasn't really at a school. Not a normal school. Not a place for learning the core subjects. This was a place for a popular television network. Wolf t.v. Faith invited herself in my room and sat on my bed. Snow apologized but strolled in calmly looking about the room. Kuroi was returning breathlessly from downstairs. As Snow and Faith made themselves comfortable on my bed I saw him. He waved and I waved back.

"I forgot to give you this," he ran his fingers through his brown hair.

I met his soft brown eyes and stood silently waiting. He acted like I was suppose to say something. I stuck my left hand in my pocket. My lips pressed tightly together.Snow rescued me by inviting Kuroi in. I noticed her accent, a thick British accent. Kurio placed a small book in my hand. Faith said her Hello's to Kuroi and I didn't notice an accent on her. Canadian like me? Mabey American? I wasn't sure. I'd have to get her to say the alphabet sometime.

"Enought of that," I thought," the Wolf tournament"

"So," I said out loud taking a seat on a chair.

"You should know we want to be friends," Faith said forthcomingly.

"Okay," my voice quavered.

Kuroi sat close to me pulling up a box. I gave him an apologetic look but he mouthed that he was fine. He tapped his fingers on his knee as Snow told me the next Wolf tournament day. In a few days there would be a fight. Only fully transformable werewolves can be forced in. You couldn't lie to this school.

"Too dangerous," Faith introjected

Kuroi nodded touching his side nervously.

"Can either of you transform?" I asked Snow and Faith.

"Yes," they said in unison.

Snow got on the floor and stood. Her limbs began to shake and fur formed on her. A bushy white tail sprouted from her behind. I watched as her bones cracked and snapped. Snow's face sprouted out into the face of a wolf. She let out a small wimper. I watched as her hands turned into paws and her fur grew fuzzy. A flash of white light filled the room. In Snow's place stood a swift white wolf.

"Can you understand me?"

Snow-the white wolf- nodded her head. Kurio shook his head baffled.

"I have never been able to fully transform," he looked at Snow then me.

Snow wandered about the room sniffing. She showed off her front fangs. Strong and-again- white as her name.

"Her family must've known," I thought.

Faith rolled her eyes and got on the floor to transform. Her bones cracked and snapped first. She yelped as her form changed and skin receded. Fur replaced her skin and clothes. Kurio covered his face as her clothes stripped off. I gasped as a dusty brown tail sprouted from her behind. A deep unearthly growl came from Faith. Her ears poked up as a bright blue light enveloped her. In Faith's place stood a slender, dusty, blue eyed wolf. I elbowed Kurio and his eyes flew open. He looked around at the two wolves happily. Then his smile dropped. Kurio looked again to his side. I read his thoughts.

"Kurio its okay," I reassured him as best I could, a smile reformed on his face.

"Thanks," he took my hand and smirked.

I looked out the window and saw the light fading away. I sat next to Kurio and everything sunk in.

Atraya you are a werewolf

You can't see your family again

You could die here

You could love here

I turned to look at Kurio. Our eyes met and gaze locked. A flash of deep blue shone from our eyes connecting us. Mesmerized we both sat still. He squeezed my hand and the light intensified. I let go startled and the deep blue light disappeared. We gasped.

"Well," Snow said, she and Faith had transformed back.

"Wow," Faith's eyes were wide with awe," no fair," she pouted.

"What?" I was confused.

I glanced at Kurio and his face had gained a deep shade of red. He excused himself and left. I began to follow him but Snow insisted I stay put. I listened and plopped myself on my bed suddenly exhausted.

"You my dear have a lot to learn," her voice was rich and classy, definitely British.

Faith turned her nose up and pouted," even I haven't found my mate yet!"

"Wait?" I was blown back," Mate?!"
