I woke up in a dark room. Sitting up I noticed I was on a soft couch. The blanket fell to the floor. Looking around I took in my surroundings. It was dimly lit but my eyes adjusted and I got up to walk. My legs complained but I kept looking around. The room was smaller than my bedroom. Very untidy. Boxes stacked the far wall from the door. I tried the handle and groaned. I was locked in. The room was warm and I noticed a tipped over box by a window. A small window far from the couch. I hurried to it and peeked out. I saw darkness.
"How can it be night already?" I asked aloud.
"Your event took awhile," said a boy, I spun around on the heels of my shoes.
"Who-"
"Am I?" He chuckled," not Kurio."
"Your the boy that carried me from the hall," I realized,"let me see you."
"Look Atraya I know who you are, who Kurio is...you will do what I ask."
I snorted towards his voice,"whatever. Name?"
"Call me Reanon," he moved from the shadows more and I saw that he was a tall slender build. A long cloak covered him.
I inched forward slowly but was stopped.I hit an invisible barrier when I got close to him. He ducked into the shadows again.
"Everyone here is a werewolf, mostly."
"Your not a werewolf," I picked my brain for the word,"sorceror?"
"Smart one we have here."
"Thanks. I'd be smarter if I got to my classes."
"Not happening for awhile," a light reflected from his grin.
I decided to keep chatting, get more out of him. As hard as I tried he easily dodged my questions. I learned nothing more from him. I turned from him and sat on the couch again. I hated to be stuck but here I am. Stuck as stuck can be.
"So Reanon," I didn't wait for a response," where are we hiding? More importantly, who are you hiding from?"
"Nobody," his voice was toneless.
I scrunched up my face,"your lying. How can I help a powerful sorceror like you?" Charming to get answers couldn't hurt.
"The legend says that a sixteen year old werewolf will enter this school when you did. She will be the most powerful youngster. Uncontrollably the perfect energy source,"he moved from the shadows slightly,"I drained you last night,so powerful dear."
A shiver ran up my spine,"you talk like an old man."
"I am 902 years old."
"Wow grandpa, taking your meds?" I tried to lift my spirits.
He laughed, a deep laugh," I did last night, the meds as you say will last me about a month."
By meds, he meant me.
