"Kurio, I need to talk to you, its about Atraya and the school," Snow was trying to call Kurio again,"hurry."

Her phone beeped and she sat on the edge of my bed. People got chosen for the wolf tournament today. Snow told me this when she came back with some food to fill my stomach. I had been drugged so I needed food and juice. Snow brought both as fast as she could. As I ate she had remembered what today was and told me. I was scared that Kurio had been chosen. He wasn't answering our calls. I needed to talk to him, apparently. Now more than ever because he could be chosen.

"If they call either of us and we're not there we are in so much trouble," Snow paced the floor," Faith is likely freaking out."

"You should go Snow, I have an excuse, you don't, go," I said then sipped some juice," go before they start."

"But-"

"Go!" My voice was weak but firm enough for Snow to leave, she added her number to my cell, and mine to her's, before she closed the door.

"I will call when I find out who was called," she looked at her shoes.

"Snow, its okay, think positive," I realize she must be overwhelmed with worry, for herself and others.

She tapped the door then shut it behind her. I drank the rest of the juice, orange juice, then ate the blueberry muffin and apple. I swung out of bed and tied my thick, messy, brown hair in a high ponytail. I wasn't going to sit here and do nothing. I moved fast around my room. I grabbed my old switchblade that came over with my stuff. I stuffed it in my uggs and grabbed my macbook, then my phone from the counter, where Snow had left it. Everything I needed I made fit in my sidebag. Books and school stuff got tossed onto my bed. The only person I could ask for information and that wasn't required to be at the wolf tournament was Reanon.

I quietly slipped from my room and went down the stairs. Nobody was there, everyone had gone to the announcement of the competitors at the wolf ceremony. I went outside into the frontyard. Reanon was leaning against the same tree, the guy has a thing for tall oak trees.

"Ahem," I sat knocked on the wood," may I sit?"

"Atraya? Your suppose to be," he paused," sure, sit."

I sat before I told him," I was drugged last night by someone in the building. I think in the nurse's office place. I found out some info about the place."

I let him digest what I'd said before I continued.

"I need to know if you know anything, since someone controlled you."

"Atraya, I can't see. I didn't see who it was, I only know it was a man," Reanon sighs," sorry."

"I hate to ask this of you but I need your magic," I say.

"To do what?"

"To hack the system and get me connected to the WiFi and main computer in the nurse's place."

"I can get you into the WiFi but not the main computer you want," Reanon holds out his hands," you brought the complimentary macbook?"

I hand it to him and he holds it with one hand and pulls himself up with the other. I begin to protest when he explains.

"Not here, being watched," he says thru gritted teeth," I can feel it."

I nod and follow him across the field.

"This is too slow," he whines and hands back my macbook.

His hand holds mine and purple smoke surrounds us as his other hand waves. In a flash we arrive at the old greenhouse. Dizzily I sit on a wooden bench, letting go of Reanon. His eyes flash white and I gasp in shock.

"Don't worry, its just echolocation, I wasn't sure where you went," he explained then ran his fingers through his dark hair.

I took a breath then handed him the macbook. He got to work when he felt it in his hands. His eyes narrowed and a crease formed in his forehead. I laughed because he looked so young, but he couldn't be, he must be hundreds of years old.

"What?"

"You look so young but you can't be actually sixteen," I say.

He grins and smoke shoots from his fingertips. Cockily he tilts his head and shoots a spark at a pot. The pot smashes everywhere. Pieces of plant and hard clay clatter.

I smack his head playfully,"really, how old?"

He refocuses on my macbook," there got it."

I sigh and take my macbook. I get onto my email quickly and check my recent incomes.  I summarize the document I find and tell Reanon. He shivers and curses. The date of when this is to happen is in two months.

"We need to tell someone who can save everyone," I say.

Reanon looks my way and snaps his fingers," I know who can help! A family friend, she is a werewolf born from moonlight. She told me stories about something like this, she has connections to high powers also."

"Sounds great!" I say then ponder," how do we escape?"

Reanon frowns and his forehead creases again. I scrunch up my nose and think. I hear my cellphone ringing.

"Its Snow," I say to Reanon.

I answer the call nervously.

"Atraya I didn't get picked," Snow says," Neither did Faith."

"What about Kurio?"

"I don't know, boys haven't been," her voice drifts off and I hear the announcers voice he says:" Kurio Kuntchin and Alec Fielder!"

I drop my phone on the ground. A deep crack runs across the screen. My phone looks like my heart. You know how they say everything goes slow motion when you are in shock, its true. Every emotion and fear is amplified and expressed. Reanon tried to comfort me but it is hard when you don't know what happened. I grabbed a pot and smashed it onto the ground. I wilted to my knees like a dying flower. I felt the tiredness from the drugs and felt my eyes close. I could just lay here.  Reanon had picked up my phone and talked to Snow, I heard his shock felt his sympathy. He shook my shoulders and leaned me against the wooden bench.

"He's not dead Atraya, quit acting like he is or he will be," the words that tear me away from my horrible thoughts," think positive or it just may happen!"

I grunted at him but ate his words. As tasteless as they were they made some sense. I chewed them and swallowed.

"Your right, Kurio can do it," I said," we can help him!"

"Wait? We?"

"You can give him an edge, I read in the one science class that I listened, that you can teach a werewolf basic magic," my eyes glowed and I touched his hand," please?"

"Okay fine, tomorrow," he grunted, "let's get back now."
