Kurio ran fast when the line went dead. He was thinking the worst. His mind raced with worry he felt his body begin to burn. His worry makes him change, he knew that.

"Calm yourself Kurio," he heard his mother say.

Her voice was calming but brought also great sorrow. He missed his family, wondered how they were. Where Kurio was from was different than Atraya. He lived in a village. It was a small village with wooden houses and straw roofs. The baker's and tool merchant's shops lived minutes from Kurio's family. His family wasn't rich nor poor. They had seen their share of sadness and loss. His baby sister, Alice, had died in her second winter.
Worried

Kurio turned his cheek from his past life. It couldn't be the same again. In his heart he knew. Father had sent him away when he found out.

"No son of mine is a monster, your not my son!"

Tears threatened his eyes. He closed his eyes and kept running. Kurio knew the school property like the back of his hand. When he wanted to run he learned every inch. His mother wasnt safe with his father. Father had become cruel and vile towards his family. Who knows what he was doing to them. Kurio opened his eyes.

"There it is," he sighed, he had made it to the old greenhouse.

He heard a scream inside and ran in. He smashed through the glass and ignored the blood running in streams down his body. A small black tornado was building inside the greenhouse. It was being controlled by a young man in a black hooded robe, beside him stood Snow. Kurio ducked behind the potted plants and searched for Atraya.

"Ahhh!"

Kurio dived towards the source of the noise. Snow was grabbing Faith by the neck. With enormous strength she pulled Faith into the air, choking her. A silver-blue flash emerged from behind her. The flash knocked Snow to the ground with her claws. Faith gasped for breath on the ground. Her eyes darted around the greenhouse. The tornado was getting bigger and stronger. Kurio kept from its path and fell in front of the silver-blue flash. It was a wolf, giant and true. He looked at it closely and gasped.

"Atraya?"

The wolf nodded and swayed its body towards Snow. Kurio guessed she wanted him to take over. He shook his head 'no'.

Faith crawled over and pinned herself on top of Snow.

"Knock her out Atraya," she ordered quietly.

With a grunt Atraya's big paw smacked Snow's head hard. Faith pulled Snow outside of the building. She passed out beside Snow, a safe distance from the old greenhouse. Kurio stood beside Atraya. He was a few inches taller than she was. His height was only as a human however, as a wolf he was half her size. Atraya nosed Kurio's back nervously.

"She has no idea what to do," Kurio thought, a shuffle came from behind a supply bin," no. She is scared."

He looked from Atraya to the bin. As a wolf you grow stronger bonds to friends and loved ones. Wolves will threaten their own existence to save someone that they care for. Atraya turned her body to block Kurio from the bin.

"No!" He growled," you can't do that!"

Her eyes turned a darker shade of brown. She wasn't listening. Kurio had to turn himself into a wolf. He worried, worried about his past, his family, his future. His body shook and his bones snapped and shifted. He thought of his old friends and new friends. His most significant thought caused his body to burn and shift. His body was covered in fur within seconds. His face changed to a snout and ears. Atraya looked at him nervously. Kurio forced his legs up. He was much smaller than Atraya. His fur was darker, a few light patches but nothing special. Kurio stood beside Atraya and he faced the man in the hooded robe. Atraya growled when the man showed his face. Kurio understood what she thought.

"Reanon!"

So that is his name. The tornado faded away and Reanon turned to Atraya. A crooked grin. Atraya plowed down to him like a bull. He dodged it with a side step and slapped her bottom, hard. Kurio growled at Reanon. Reanon in turn looked at him. Reanon had dark eyes, black, Kurio realized it. He is being controlled by someone.

Atraya we need a cure

I know Kurio, I have it, I need to change back

Its not safe-

I have to do it Kurio

Their eyes met

Its the only way to stop this

Kurio groaned and looked up at Atraya. She was far from him but their gaze was strong, powerful. It meant more than they knew. Kurio raced around the greenhouse knocking things onto Reanon and getting zapped with bolts of energy. He looked over his shoulder at Atraya. She had sat down and was beginning to change. A bright light emitted from her.  Kurio had been blinded and fell backwards causing Reanon to fall back. Reanon landed hard on a pot, groaning. Atraya made her move, she had the needle held firmly in her hand. She wobbled towards Reason and sunk the needle deep into his shoulder. He groaned and fought but couldn't move enough. The medicine rushed through him and he calmed. Atraya flinched when his hand reached up to her face. He felt her face to get a picture in his head of what she looked like. After a moment his hands dropped down and he sighed.

"Thank you."

"Well Faith made the mixture, I guess I'm just the delivery girl," she said then chuckled lightly.

"Did it work?" Kurio jogged towards Reanon and Atraya.

"Yeah," she said softly," it did."
