A loud series of knocks at my door woke me. I groaned and blinked hard. It was really true. Yesterday I had been taken to this school for werewolves and learned I am one.  Realizing the knocking hadn't stopped I swung my legs out of bed and yawned.

"Atraya?" It was Snow

"Yes?" I said rubbing my eyes.

"Get up! You have five minutes to get ready! Class starts at nine, I told you last night!"

"I forgot," I told her, truth is I never heard.

Rushing about my room I grabbed my clothes and put them on. I tripped on my leggings landing on the floor with a thud. Snow was shuffling outside. I hurried back to my feet and dressed my top half. Brushing my hair with my left hand and my teeth with my right. I looked like an uncoordinated monkey. In five minutes I was out the door with a bag over my shoulder. Snow hurried me along and approached a closet. She gave me a wink and pulled up a tiny secret door. Inside was a button for an elevator. An up and down arrow lit up. She pressed hard on the down arrow. I gasped as the closet doors slid open like barn doors. They revealed an elevator.

"I'd have to tell Kurio about this," I said.

"Only Kurio," Snow said, voice strick.

"Yes mother," I joked.

She rolled her eyes and stepped into the elevator. I followed her. It was a modern, clean, bright elevator. The lights shone brightly and reflected off of the white floor. Snow let out a quiet laugh as I adjusted my eyes.

"Fan of the dark?"

"Yeah I like the moon."

I remember each night when i was younger,I would sneak out of bed to go outside. Magic shone from the sky in moonbeams energizing me. The feeling as I walked through the meadow barefoot was unimaginable. The soft wet grass cushioning her every step. The moonbeams danced around me filling me with energy. I laughed and skipped, the wind blew my hair up. My brown eyes matched the mud by the river. I'd kneel by it and feel powerful and independent. I always was thought of as a little strange. Now I know why.

"So I'm really a werewolf," I said accidentally out loud.

"Haha yes Atraya everyone here is," she paused thinking,"well mostly."

Before I could ask what she meant the elevator had chimed and we were off. Together we merged into the crowded hall. I had thought it to be too large when I arrived. It seemed too small now. Nervously I broke apart from Snow to find my first class.

"I'm running late!" She had called over the noise,"your class is Room 16 on this floor with Professor Davis!"

Now in the sea of students I felt dizzy. Suddenly I felt extremely claustrophobic and nauseous. I couldn't walk. My feet stuck to the ground like cement. Annoyed students pushed passed me.

"Walk you newbie," one shouted.

"Go!" Said another

The scene was getting darker. Light became lighter than darker. Fanning in and out like flikering lights. My body began to sway slowly. Somebody hit my arm. I looked at my arm and saw it. A long silver-blue hair. The lights seemed to flicker again. I swayed faster my stomach turned. I began to fall backwards. It was so hard to think...

"Woah!" Shouted a voice from behind me, then softer," are you okay?" It was a boy for sure.

The boy gripped my arm and held me up. My eyes had closed now but I felt him. His heart was fast paced with concern. I tried to help by pushing myself up, my limbs were sore. Holding my breath, I fell back down.

"Its okay Atraya I am strong enough. Just focus on breathing."

My lungs ached for air. I gasped and relief washed over me. I once again focused on his heart beat. It was quieter now. He had taken me from the noisy hall. The bell rang and a tight knot formed in my stomach. I had missed my first day. Not just here, at this school, my first day ever. +A Atraya has fallen. I reminded myself of the silver-blue hair on my arm. Being on time was the least of my worries. I had lost more energy by thinking. I focused on the heart beat again. The boy picked me up into his arms and a small gasp escaped me. He pulled my dark bang behind my ear. I listened to the heart beat again.

"Can't let the school know," the boy whispered in my ear.

"Kurio?"

His chest tightened but he didn't answer. I tugged weakly at his shirt. A gesture meaning answer me. It was ignored.

"I know its you,"I said, puzzled I added,"isn't it?"

"No," the boy said gruffly,"it isn't."

For an unknown reason I didn't get scared. You could argue it was because I was tired. I couldn't move. Inside it felt like something more. What?

My eyelids stubbornly refused to open. My head rested against the boy's chest again. Focusing on his heartbeat I drifted off into sleep.
