Four Years Later (Peter Parker/Spiderman)

Help Me Remember

I walked away from my parents, seeing Peter with his aunt. I smiled slightly and walked up, causing them to turn towards me. Peter smiled brightly, "Maddie."

"Peter." I chuckled awkwardly, keeping my arms by my side as he wrapped his around me.

"Something wrong?" he asked, pulling away.

I shook my head, "Not at all. Just..happy to be graduated." I smiled slightly.

"It's hard to believe that you two are both graduated now." I heard May state.

I looked over at her, seeing how much older she looked now. I smiled at her, "It is hard to believe. I can't even hardly remember these past four years." No joke there.

"Ben would have been so proud of you two." she smiled weakly.

I raised an eyebrow slightly. Where was Ben? By the look on her face, it was best I didn't ask.. I just nodded slightly and looked up at Peter, who was looking in Gwen's direction. I bit my bottom lip, taking in his appearance. He has changed so much.. I shook my head and ran a hand through my curls, "Um, Peter.."

"Yeah?" he asked, looking at me in an instant.

"Can I talk to you? Privately?"

He raised an eyebrow, but nodded, "We'll be back, aunt May."

"Take your time." she smiled, waving us off.

He led me over to a couple of isolated trees, "What's up?"

"I um.. I don't know how to say this." I sighed, shaking my head.

He raised an eyebrow again, "Just say it."

"Well.. I can't remember the past four years. All I remember is yelling at you in that closet and then I woke up looking like this on my graduation day." I frowned, looking up into his big brown eyes, "I need you to help me remember what happened during my high school years."

"A lot." he chuckled weakly, "You can come over tonight after I have dinner with Gwen and her family."

I nodded, only to stop and look at him again, "You believe me?"

"Of course. I saw you staring at me like you didn't remember that puberty hit me and looking around confused." he laughed, "Plus, your my best friend."

"Lame excuse." I chuckled, rolling my eyes, "Just text me when I can come over."

He nodded, "I'll see you tonight." he stated before running to Gwen.

I pulled my curls up in to a bun, slipping on on of the senior hoodies hanging up in my closet and a random pair of jeans. I looked in the mirror, shaking my head in disbelief. How did this happen? I sighed and picked up my phone, which I finally learned what it's called and how to use it after a while of playing with it. An iPhone 5s. It was a nice phone, but kind of confusing to use at first. I was about to unlock it, only for a message from Peter to pop up, telling me I could come on over. It was only seven.. I raised an eyebrow, but replied with a simple 'okay.'

"I thought you would be with Gwen at dinner." I stated to Peter once he closed his bedroom door.

"I um, actually broke up with her. Well, she broke up with me.. Depends on who you ask." he frowned, running a hand through is hair.

"What? Why?"

"Spiderman."

"The hell is a Spiderman?" I asked, furrowing my brows.

"Oh, right. Um, I guess you could say he's the hero of the city. Swings with webs and whatnot."

"Who is it?"

"Me."

"You?" I repeated.

He chuckled, "Yes. Me."

"Right.." I nodded, "I have missed a lot."

"I just don't understand how you woke up with no memories of what happened the past four years."

"I don't either," I sighed, "That's why I'm here, though."

He nodded in agreement, "Let's get started."
