Your Pov

Omg it's Meri! Wait noo, it can't be... She ran at me and started licking me. It had to be her! She had the same collar and looked the same. How did she know I was here though? Omg I have an idea! I need to ask Charlie for a piece of paper and a pen... I'll tell him I want to draw but instead I'll write a letter and put it in Meri's collar, she has long hair so it won't be visible but I'll have to find a way to get her out of here. I was sitting on my bed petting her when Charlie came in. "I see the dog didn't eat you" He said shoving a bowl of water on the floor for Meri. "Dad?" I asked. I didn't like calling him that but he forces me to. "Yes?" "I'm bored, can I have some paper and a pen? Please?" "Sure whatever" He said and soon after he brings me 3 pieces of paper and some colored pens. Perfect. I started doodling on one of the pages while he was sitting beside me. Meri was laying on my legs. After a while he left and I quickly started writing a letter.

If anyone is reading this please help me! My name is y/n and I have been kidnapped by Charlie Hoberts - my father. Meri can bring you to the house I'm being held in. I'm In a soundproof room, to get to it you have to pull the blue book on a bookcase and a door should open. Please help! I want to go home.

I folded the paper and put it under Meri's caller hoping it wouldn't fall out and that Charlie didn't see it. He would kill me if he saw it. "Ok Meri, now you have to act that your paw is hurt" I told her while I colored some of her hair in the red pen. I think she understood me because when I let her go she had that paw up. I didn't bother calling Charlie as I knew he wouldn't hear me so I waited until he was ment to bring me my last meal of the day.

Evening came and so did he. I ate the food and before I asked about getting Meri to the vet so someone would see my letter he said that he is taking her away since I'm having 'too much fun' and that's not what I'm supposed to have. I heard her squeak as he pulled her out of the room and outside. I really hope she will get back home and Lizzie or Joel would see my letter. Or anyone would see it and help me...

Joel's Pov

It's been hours since Meri ran away. We don't know why she would do that. We called the animal service but apparently no one has seen a loose dog. Lizzie was getting really depressed since she blames herself for both, the loose of y/n and Meri. I try to tell her that it's not her fault but she doesn't listen. Me and Lizzie we're just about to go to sleep when I heard a noise downstairs. I went down and there was Meri scratching and barking for us to oped the door. I was so surprised. I called Lizzie and she came rushing. "Why would you do that? We were so worried!" Lizzie asked her like she would answer. "You're so dirty, let's give her a bath" I said looking at her, she was a muddy and dirty. "Yeah we should" Lizzie said taking off her collar. "What is this?" She asked holding a small piece of paper. "What is that?" I asked looking at her. "It's... Omg it's a letter, it says it's from y/n but how?" Lizzie said surprised after opening the page. "Did Meri run back to that house she was always pulling us too?" I questioned. "I think so, bit how would she get in?" Lizzie said. "Omg Meri you're such a good girl! We have to call the police!" I said taking my phone. "And Scott! I'll go call him" Lizzie said also taking out her phone.
