This is a story of two alternating parts. The first narrative consists of chapters from a book 'published' eighteen months after the Battle of Hogwarts by Draco. The second narrative starts nine and a half years after the Battle told from Harry's perspective. Although it is a new story, I do pull together some of the threads I have used in some of my Drarry one shots, in case you have read those and are wondering... oh, and there's a bit about Charlotte Brontë's Jane Eyre thrown in every so often because I happen to like the text and it helps tell this story - there are a surprising amount of parallels with Mr Potter's story.

N.B. The image above is Anthony, he's a Phrenology Bust and a character in the story. You really don't need to understand what he's saying, it's just waffle! All will become clear.
At times, the story deals with themes of abuse, domestic violence, rape, and suicide. I don't provide warnings as these themes are heavily interwoven into the first narrative thread. If you think you will find this upsetting or triggering, please don't read. And please, if you are affected by any of these issues to please seek help – you are not alone.
This is a Drarry story. There is some swearing. Reference to sexual activities but no smut and mostly just slow-build fluff interwoven with a bit of angst.
Of course, I don't own any of the Harry Potter characters (though I may add a few new characters as the story requires). Ownership of the incredible Harry Potter universe belongs to J.K. Rowling. No copyright or trademark infringement is intended and no money is being made.
