Jake's POV
After a few days, the excitement of Derrick's win died down and the rush of catching up with wedding planning started. I didn't have time to even say morning to my soon to be husband. "Jake! Stop staring at the wall and help me!" Moon screamed as she struggled with a box of decorations. "Huh? Oh right," i answered quietly and taking the box from her and taking it to her car.
Putting it in the trunk, i sighed and leaned against it looking at the clouds. 'Wow, it's beautiful outside today. Derrick would love to find shapes in the sky on a day like this,' I thought as my ears laid plastered themselves to my head. "You ok there Jake?" A deep voice interrupted my thoughts. I jumped from the suddenness of the voice and looked at Zack. "Oh. Hey Zack," I mumbled before shaking my head clearing my thoughts.
"Something on your mind?" He asked leaning against the trunk with me. "Nothing but Derrick. Like always," I muttered. "Cheer up man. It'll be fine. This wedding is gonna be worth it! I promise!" Zack cheered. He was such a ball of joy sometimes. I smiled softly nodding. "Yeah, you have a point. Come on dragon boy. Let's help moon before she bitch slaps us both," we got off the trunk and walked inside helping my older sister pack boxes to the car.
Once we were finished, I heard a whisper of a giggle in my ear. I held back a laugh as I remembered my little sister's laugh. "Yo Moon! When is the wedding rehearsal?" I asked getting in the car. "Later today at I think 4," she guessed checking her phone. "I can't believe the wedding is tomorrow. Wait what about the bachelor parties?" I scratched my lopsided ear as I tilted my head.
"Derrick said the hell with it and decided to combine them. Said he rented out some trampoline park for a few hours," Zack roared as he yawned frost forming on the windshield in front of him. After finishing his yawn, he was rewarded for frosting the windshield with a flick to his throat causing him to choke. I laughed to myself looking out the window enjoy the lustrous blooming cherry blossoms as they pass.
Only when I looked up I noticed the reflection of a human staring directly at me from the opposite side of the car. I turned as quickly as I could only to see no one. "What the?" I whispered staring at the empty seat. I was more confused than scared. Humans had gone extinct around 2,000 years ago (If the Corona causes animals to evolve I hope I get kept as a pet). I couldn't even begin the process of figuring out what I just saw.
'Chill out Jake. You're probably just tired,' I mumbled in my head as I rubbed my eyes. I jumped at the sound of my phone going off along with the sudden pop of a tire on a parked car. "Good thing they're parked at an auto repair shop," commented Moon as she passed it. Zack held back a laugh while I simply shook my head with a smile as i answered my phone. "Jake Howlston." I got out of the car as Moon pulled up to the park where the wedding was gonna be held.
"Hey, Jake! It's Azrael. The house is ready if you wanna come to look at it," the forever friendly voice replied. After college, Azrael got into home real estate and Seth started writing his own music. Both of them became very successful, but unlike some people, Seth and Azrael never forgot who their friends were. "Yeah, I'll be by soon let me drop off decorations," I wagged handing off a box to one of the many members helping set up the meadow.
"You got it!" yipped Azrael before hanging up the phone. For the next 10 minutes, I directed on where everything was supposed to go before taking Moon's car to the more rural area of town. Derrick always talked about how he wanted to live out in the country with wide-open space and plenty of room for future kids to run around and play. When I found out Azrael was a real estate agent I asked him if he could find something that fit Derrick's liking.
Like always, Azrael pulled through for me. I wanted to pay him back but he refused to take anything I wanted to get him. Derrick, Azrael, and Seth were the true meaning of an angel. Checking my phone for the address, I pulled up to a two-story house with a beautiful green yard with freshly planted flowers. "Whoa," I was speechless. I parked in the open garage and walked in the front door to hear Seth playing the song Heaven.
Heaven was Derrick's favorite country song which was written by his favorite country music artist, Kane Brown. "Azrael, I know I told you to find the best my Derrick but damn. I haven't even seen everything and I already know it's amazing," I laughed shutting the door behind me. "He also used every single dollar you gave him as a thank to decorate," Seth commented putting his acoustic in its case before hugging me.
"Good seeing you again, Giant." I hugged Seth laughing as he called me a giant. He was always shorter than me and I found it funny. "Good seeing you, Shorty. You too, Az," I hugged Azrael but not before punched by Seth for calling him shorty. "Yeah, he likes being called little been now. I'm glad you liked the house. There's a haft training room haft gymnastics room in the basement.
The kitchen, family room, dining room, two bedrooms, one bathroom, one office, and the master bedroom is on the first floor. The Master bedroom has a cellar and own bathroom. Upstairs you have three more bedrooms, one bathroom, storage room, office, and playroom for kids. There is an attic that can be used for storage or a bedroom. The laundry room is downstairs too.
Huge backyard, alarm system already installed, cameras in each room they haven't been set up yet, shed in the back, and other 400 acres to spare," Azrael explained seeming to use one breath to say it all. My jaw dropped. 'WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU AZRAEL?!' I screamed in my head. Considering everything the house has and the extra acres couldn't have cost less than 600 grand. "You're gonna catch a fly, Jake," Seth laughed as he closed my mouth.
I shook my head and crossed my arms confused and curious about who I have pay so he isn't hunted down by the mafia. "H-how did you manage to get all this??? I only gave you 220 grand," I asked excepting to hear he got a loan from Jack Capone. "One of the people I went to so I can buy the land was a big fan of Seth, Offland, along with his 5 kids, so Seth played them some songs, took pictures, and gave them autographs and I got the deed for only 100 grand.
Then with all the money me and Seth make together is quite a lot so we put the money together and bought everything for the house to furnish, paint, and decorate." Azrael was very proud of his work. My eyes were huge at this point. If they got any bigger they would fall out of my skull like a cartoon character. Seth laughed as he saw my face. "Did I mention that the cable, internet, gas, and light bill have been covered for the next year and that the cabinets are full of cup ware, silverware, and food?"
Azrael asked smiling as his tail wagged from the excitement of what he had accomplished. I stood laughing like an awkward teenage boy talking to crush before my eyes rolled to the back of my head as I fainted crashing to the ground.
Well, there goes Jake hahahaha! There you go guys that you are. Hopefully Jake wakes up in time for the wedding rehearsal. Azrael might have gone a bit overboard. It is a wedding gift for Derrick. I dont know. I'm with Jake. I would faint lol. Shoutouts are 8125003EC, 8BitEmo, CatCation, Coby_Greenfur, dankmaemaes, 82010zayka, brendadontgo. Give your fellow fluffs a follow. See you tomorrow🖖🏾.
