PROMPT : ruel's relationship with his new girlfriend ( Bella sorry if that's ur name! )was currently on the edge for a while now.

You finally had enough of it, Bella was currently going off about ruel to you and you really didn't want to hear anything she had to say. Ruel was your closest friend for a years and you've been through everything with him. Ever since he started dating Bella, he's became more quiet, letting her do all the talking.

It was another one of their stupid fights and you just kept nodding your head to whatever she was saying, not paying attention. All you seem to care about was finding ruel and telling him to let this whole relationship go, it was killing you inside to see him act so unnatural.

you didn't honestly didn't know what ruel saw in this girl. Ruel was the perfect guy, he was compassionate and loyal, and you loved it when he was childish. You honestly couldn't take anymore of what she had to say. 'Hey Bella, I gotta go.' Is all you had to say, you ended the call with her and put on your coat, you needed to find him.

You tried looking everywhere, his house, the cafe, the park. He was no where to be found and the sun was beginning to set, and then you remembered. The special spot you guys found when you were 12, the clearing on top of the hill. You ran quickly, speeding past the people towards the hill at the edge of the small town.

As you made it past the clearing, you could see it. The boy you adored ever since you guys were little, sitting down at the top of the hill with his face in his hands. You felt your heart break from the sight in front of you. You made your way towards him, sitting down right next to him looking out towards the small town you both loved.

'Ruel, I'm sorry.' Was all you could say, with everything going through your head that's all you could say. He picked his head up and there you could see it, the small tears leaving his eyes. For the first time he was crying in front of you. All the pain that was inside of him is finally leaving. He tried his best to wipe them away but they all keep coming back and staining his rosy cheeks even more. 'It's not your fault, y/n. I put myself in this situation.' He replied, his voice hoarse and shaky. 'Yeah, but you won't ever be alone in a time like this.' You said, a small smile on your face before laying your head on his shoulder.

You picked up his phone, noticing all the notifications from the girl that caused his so much pain. You deleted her number from his phone before placing it back down where it was as before. For a while you both watched the sun set in silence, enjoying each others presence. The night was cold and after a while you decided to head home, but this time everything around you felt more real. This night was the first time he let himself go in front of you, the feeling was surreal. You wrapped your arms around his left arm, smiling up at him as you both walked home slowly.

You were happy to have him in your life. The boy you cared for the most, was right beside you. You kept this feeling in your heart, not knowing if you get to feel something like it again. He walked you home, making sure you were safe. You both stopped in front of your door, facing each other.

'Thank you, y/n. I know I could always count on you to look out for me.' He said wrapping his arms around you, giving you a tight hug. 'Of course, ruel. You deserve the world.' You said, planting a small kiss on his cheek. You walk inside, turning around to give him one last smile for the night before closing the door. He just stood there in awe, touching the same place of his cheek where you planted the soft kiss. 'So do you.. so do you y/n.' He whispered before turning around to walk back home.
