PROMPT : could he make it all up?

Y/N'S
POV:

Ruel decided to go see her back at their shared apartment, turning on his ignition and started to head back home. As he entered trough the door he sensed the emptiness of place. He combed through his hair, sighing as he closed the door behind him. Ruel entered the bedroom and noticed the mess they made during the fight.

He guessed that she left to talk to one of her friends, and decided to clean up the room while waiting for her to come home. He picked up the all the trash and the broken glass that was on the floor. 'where did the broken glass come from?' he questioned as he continued to clean. As he continued he looked around for the source of where all the glass came from. He stood up and placed everything where it should be and noticed the broken frame on the stand next to the TV.

Ruel remembered that frame, the same frame that help the picture of you guys during your favorite date; the one where he told you he loved you for the first time. He noticed the picture in it was gone, and he felt his heart break. The one memory that he adored the most wasn't at the place where they felt at home. 'where could she be?' he asked as he ran out the door, grabbing his key on his way out.

Y/N was currently driving around town while tears streamed down her face. 'how could he? I trusted him and he lets me down.' you said to yourself. Everywhere around town you guys had a memory together, from the park you always had dates to the small pet shop you guys would go to at 2 am to pet all the puppies. She couldn't find a place where they haven't been to, so she decided to go to the place where the both of them went to during the beginning of the relationship. 'he couldn't have remembered this place, right?' she thought as she pulled up to the small clearing on top of the hill.

As y/n watched the sun go down, Ruel went all over around town trying to find her. He went inside evenly place asking the people inside if they had seen her, which all of them said no. He yelled at himself while driving, trying to remember all places they spent together. 'I can't fucking lose her.' he yelled out to himself as he pulled up to an empty parking lot. Ruel felt tears rush out as he laid his head on his steering wheel.

Memories of her flooded his head, from the early morning "I love you's" to all the late nights where she'd wake up from a nightmare and he would always be there to comfort her. He picked his head up and saw someone sitting on the clearing on the hill. The one place he hasn't checked yet. He ran out of his car, not even bothering to lock it as he ran towards her.

y/n heard the sounds of running feet so she looking back, it was him. the one who broke her heart, the boy who she truly loved so much was running towards her. she got up and waited for him to reach her, and ruel took her into his arms.

y/n did nothing but let him wrap his arms around her, she also followed but the pain was still inside her. 'I'm so sorry, my love. I never met to say those things to you, and I never meant to hurt you in any sort of way. With everything going on and all the pressure on me, I just accidentally let it all out.' He rambled with his face still on the crook of her neck.

she let go and looked at him with tear stained cheeks. 'What was the whole girl situation about?' y/n asked her eyebrows furrowed still not know why he did all of this. 'i honestly don't know...I guess when I saw you hanging out with that one guy, it just scared me that you could easily find some one better than me.' ruel rambled on again.

y/n just shook her head and looked down, 'you know he's only a close friend to me, I could never find anyone better than you.' she mumbled. Ruel sighed as he combed through his hair, wrapping his arm around her shoulder. They looked towards the sunset, the top of the sun almost gone. 'where's the picture in the frame?' he asked as he continued to watch the view in front of him. Y/N took the picture from her pocket and lifted it up, and ruel just smiled.

When the city lights filled the scene, they decided to go home hand in hand. They both knew this would be another story they would tell their kids somewhere in the future, but for right now they wanted to savor the moment of two kids being in love.
