Chapter 3
Ritchie's POV
Everyone stood perched around one of the tables in the hall. We'd been debating for a while now about what we were supposed to do. We all knew that we couldn't just hide in here, just no one knew how we were supposed to get out, and remain alive that is. There was simply too many out there for us to make an escape and the god's have already intervened too much by keeping the shield up after it broke. That means no help. We're stuck. I mean I guess there is worse places to be stuck...
Nope, not going there.
It was then that I noticed something move outside. At first, I didn't register it, then I panicked thinking it was a monster. Then I realised. It took all the power I had not to scream right then. Everyone else just drowned out as I stood staring out of the window, frozen. It felt like I stared for hours. I couldn't believe it. How is this possible? It shouldn't be possible. It can't be. That's not how it works. Forget that. It did and I don't know why and I couldn't care less.
I broke free from my thoughts and sprinted across the room, barging out of the door. I could hear Kay shouting at me from behind but I ignored her, focussing on what was in front of me. I sprinted towards him and watched as he turned, his facing lighting up just before I pounced on him and pulled him into a hug.
**ok I promise there's actaully a reunion in the next part**
