Chapter 11

Michael's POV

The next morning, I woke up in my cabin. Which, normally, wouldn't be a huge thing but what I realised very early on, was that I haven't actually done that in over a year. This whole time I've been back to camp, I never actually came back since I wasn't allowed to sleep here. I'm assuming that since the horde is dealt with, I can now. Either that, or Kay is about to scream at me. Oh well.

The next thing I noticed when I woke up wasn't the huge amount of dust (and believe me there was a lot) or the obnoxiously loud snoring coming from a certain ginger's cabin, but instead the gods awful headache I now had. I don't think I've had one this bad in years. Not that I could have in the past year but that's not the point. It was bad.

What I can deduce from blurry memories is that Austin came back with some form of drink and that that's more than I want to know about what could have happened after.

Instead, I grabbed some painkillers and made my way out of my door, deciding that the cleaning can be left until later. I have a friend I need to see.

However... the edgy teen that was now stood in front of me was most definitely not that friend. There was a lack of pink and wings. Unless, what we drank was tomb juice. In which case, this could be Bri but I doubt even she could pull of that disapproving and uninterested smirk.

"oh, hey" I said, slowly closing my cabin door behind me.

Brandeen looked up from his position leaning against the tree before making his way to greet me.

"so..." I said as I made my way down my steps to lean against the railing, "how's life?"

He shrugged, "not bad. I just watched Austin trip over his own feet"

I laughed, "nothing new then". Brandeen hummed in agreement while I tried to figure out what the hell it was that Ritchie said happened to him, "wait... didn't you turn evil or something?"

He smirked, "'turning evil' implies that I wasn't evil in the first place which of course I was, so I wouldn't say that. Did I do something 'evil' though? Yes. Yes, I did"

"okay...and you're still here, why?"

Brandeen shrugged, "they haven't kicked me out yet"

"alright then" I said, unbelievably confused. I'll ask someone later.

Brandeen smirked yet again, "Daveed too"

"he turned evil as well?"

"yup"

"okay...sure" I said, "I'm done questioning things"

"yeah, he's watering his flowers at the moment if you want to say hi"

"You know what? I'm good" I sighed. "I need to go see Bri anyway"

"okay, I'll leave you to that then. I have a date with some steak in the cafeteria anyway" Brandeen said as he began to make his way down the path.

"yeah... have fun with that"

"will do"

I then proceeded to stand in the middle of the path for a while, attempting to digest that information. However, I soon gave up and decided to go straight to Bri and deal with it later.

I knocked on her door and within seconds I was greeted by a very cheerful Bri. I was ushered into the door quickly and pushed towards a table where Bryan sat sipping his tea with a smirk. Did I actually ever meet Bryan? I'm not even sure at this point. Didn't he go evil as well? What is wrong with the world today?
