Brave

Finn's Chapter

After school they rushed back to Elise's house.Finn liked it there more than his own house.It was somewhat...warmer and he liked being this close to Elise.Which is why he tried to spend as much time as possible around her. They rushed up to her room after calling a hello to her mum.

"Right, so we need to decide who's going to replace us at the detention centre.I got twelve replies in the mail to our advertisement so we'd better get to answering them.We should shortlist first right?"Elise looked at Finn in worry.
"Right,they could be lying.We should definitely interview first.Who do we have?"
Finn asked as Elise spread out the cover letters and CVs and pictures.
"Do any of them have Duke of Edinburgh on their CV? We need them to work well together."Asked Elise scanning the CV's.
"Yup,um Lily Rodgers,Mia McCloud,Ben Mitchell,Tony Bishop and Shona Louise-Jones and Luke Donnell. I think we should have one guy and one girl."
"Let's look at their qualities first Finn." Elise said gently."The kids wanted someone who was a smart and clever as both of us.But that means the person has to be very patient and sympathetic as well as really clever like us.They also have to be pretty fair in case an argument breaks out between the kids."
In the end they decide to cut Shona and Luke.
"Hey,Finn can you do any Calligraphy?"asked Elise.
Finn stared at her with curiosity.
"No.But if we're just writing letters why don't we do it on a computer? Then you can have any font you want?" Finn said sensibly.Elise waved around her room before it struck Finn.She didn't have a computer.
"I only have my Chromebook"She apologised shrugging sheepishly.
"That's Ok.Why don't we start a letter to Lily?We can just change the names or hand write them in once they are printed out."
"Ok."
The letter took them awhile to write* but soon they were sealing the letters in the envelopes and considering a wax seal.
"Come on!It'd be so cool.We even have our own stamp remember?Why not use it here?"Finn argued thinking that a wax sealed letter was the most mysterious,magical thing he could think of opening.Finally Elise gave in and Finn watched as she melted a little wax from a candle onto the seal of the envelope before pressing the stamp in before quickly removing it leaving a perfect seal shape.
"Perfect" Elise breathed as she high fived Finn.
She gathered them up once the wax was dry and put them in her bag.
"Come on,I'll walk you home.I bet your parents want to meet me."
Quickly gathering his things he hopped up and followed Elise out of her room.
