Gaining access to Sebastian's temporary home was significantly more difficult after the great cereal massacre of 2020. Poor Anna didn't trust her anymore and was much less willing to just hand over he extra key. No, this was going to take some actual effort. It would require a sacrifice.
That Sunday she stopped over for a friendly visit. Sebastian had wanted to attempt to cook something and he needed a guinea pig to feed it to. Honestly, it was a mystery how he had managed to feed himself thus far, but that's a different story.
She wasn't even sure what he had made. He'd walked away when she had knocked on the door and forgotten about what he had on the stove. It wasn't until there was smoke and horrible burning smell coming from the kitchen that he remembered what he was doing. The pizza he ordered was great at least.
Before she left, Ellie was sure to leave her favorite sweater on the couch. Poor boy didn't suspect anything. She only had two scenes to film the next day. That would take almost no time at all. The stage had been set perfectly.
She approached him as soon as she was done filming, asking if he'd seen her sweater. He did remember seeing it. She asked to borrow his keys so she could grab it. Naturally he said no. He remembered what had happened the last time.
She offered an ultimatum. She would video chat him the entire time and bring his keys back to him on set as soon as she was done. He went with that one.
True to her word, she FaceTimed him when she got to his house, including her locking the door again. She hung up once she was in her car, citing distracted driving as her reasoning behind it.
That gave her a small window. She hurried back inside to lay her trap. Easy enough, honestly. Jolly Ranchers in the shower head, Icy Hot in his body wash, and of course, a crap ton of glitter in his bed. She was in and out in under ten minutes.
He didn't even notice the little bit of extra time she took returning his keys. How could someone be this trusting? Especially when they knew what she was capable of.
Naturally, he surveyed for damage when he first came home. He knew she couldn't be trusted. Nothing looked out of place. Maybe she was slowly giving up on the pranks.
It wasn't until later that evening when he tried to shower that he realized the mistake he'd made. The smell had first alerted him something was off. It smelled more like mint and less like his soap. It was the burning sensation slowly spreading everywhere the soap had touched that clued him in on exactly what she'd done. For the record, hot water and Icy Hot are a painful combination. Especially in sensitive areas.
When he tried to dry off, he realized it had been a double header. He was extremely sticky and his hair felt disgusting. He unscrewed the shower head and found the half melted candy inside.
After showering in the guest bathroom with shampoo to avoid the Icy Hot, he thought he'd found everything. Amateur hadn't even rigged the guest bathroom. It was candy free. She was losing her touch. He sent her a text to complain about his less than pleasant shower. She was unsympathetic.
It wasn't until later on that night that he found it had been a hat trick on her part. He pulled the blanket back to climb into bed and groaned at the shower of sparkles that were flung across the room.
Nope. Enough was enough for one day. He put on his shoes and a hoodie, grabbing his keys along with the spare he'd made of hers before she made him return the extra key after her 4am run.
He let himself in and locked the door again. He marched through her house with purpose, kicking his shoes off along the way. He was nice enough to at least announce himself once he reached her room.
"You're an asshole."
"How did you get in here?" Ellie asked sleepily, rubbing her eyes to try and bring them into focus.
"Why all the glitter? The camera crew are still finding it on me as it is." Sebastian continued ranting, jerking his hoodie off and tossing it onto her dresser.
"What are you doing?" Ellie squeaked when he pulled he blanket back and flopped down on his stomach next to her.
"Psh, you're stuck with me until that shit show is gone." Sebastian declared, yanking one of her many pillows away, hugging it and burrowing the side of his face into the softness.
"Great, I adopted a man child." Ellie groaned.
"Or you can just give up." Sebastian shrugged.
"Fuck you. Better not steal the blankets too."
"I totally do. I'm not sorry."
"Great."
