I pushed Alucard away, before he could say anything and made my way back over to Trevor and Sypha.

I've become close with Alucard. Closer than I would like.

That scares me.

As I looked through the books, my mind kept replaying what happened with Alucard. I've noticed something about him. He has this look in his eyes. It's sadness. But I can understand it.

But when he's with me it's barely there, yet when I watch him act with Sypha or Trevor the very same sadness is back.

My hand made its way to my chest feeling how tight it was.

He was a Vampire Prince, the Son of Dracula, King of all Vampires. Who's goal was to kill all humankind in revenge for his wife. It almost seemed like a fairy tale. Once Dracula is dead, Alucard will forget about me. He will fall in love with a beautiful vampire and forget about me.

But the idea of him holding and loving someone else made my heart give out such a painful pang.

I shouldn't feel like this. He deserves a happily ever after. I don't.

As I walked around a bookcase I saw all three of them looking at a broken mirror.

It had a magic energy around it. But it was glitchy. More than likely from being broken.

Looking closer I could see ruins carved into it around the mirror.

Stepping closer I finally spoke up letting them know I was there.

"Some people call them distance mirrors" I now stood next to Alucard.

My heart was beating in my ears.

I didn't glance at him, but I kept my eyes on the mirror. Debating on if it was usable or not.

"From what I've seen some can even allow things to pass through them, but" I paused demating on if this mirror could be saved. I reached out and traced some of the carvings.

"No, this is a simple remote viewing mirror. A little of that activating language is chipped. A few of the ruins need recutting but workable, " Alucard had cut me off answering for me.

I looked down at my feet.

Alucard looked over to Trevor with a mocking smile "you have a fascinating family junkyard, Belmont."

This seemed to irritate Trevor as he pointed a finger in Alucard's face. "You're a cockwort, Alucard"

I watched an amusement a Sypha quickly grabbed Trevor's wrist telling him to stop it before dragging him off.

They seemed to be falling for one another. A sad smile made its way onto my face. They deserve to be happy.

Yes, they may be opposites but they are good for one another. Sypha will keep Trevor in his place.

Alucard was silent as we stood next to one another starring at the mirror.

Soon laughing and giggling filled the air belonging to Trevor and Sypha. Causing Alucard to look back in the direction they had run off to.

Could....could it be that he likes Sypha as well?. Another painful pang.

"I-ill go see if I can find anything" I walked away from him quickly.

I sat on the floor leaning against one of the many bookcases. A single candle the only thing giving me light in my dark spot.
