Freydís sighed as her head fell forward and met with the old wooden table covered in books of all kinds.

" I have checked every blasted book in the damn library and haven't found shit" she hissed to herself annoyed. For the last 2 weeks since she had been marked Freydís has been in the underground library trying to find any information that could help her escape from her curse.

"Your starting to sound like that idiot Belmont" A familiar smooth voice that sent pleasant shivers down her spine stated coming closer to the raven-haired woman.

A smile made its way onto her red lips as she lifted her head, her crimson eyes meeting the golden one's of her mate.

Alucard Tepes the Prince of Vampires. Son of the King of Vampires Dracula Tepes and his human wife Lisa.

"Shouldn't that be a good thing? I am a Belmont after all" Freydís stood up pushing her chair back as she made her way over to the golden-haired male wrapping her arms around his neck with her bottom lip puckered out with a pout.

Alucard groaned leaning his head back as he wrapped his arms around her small waist bringing her closer to him.

"I don't think the world could handle 2 Trevor Belmonts. I could barely handle one" he leaned his head down connecting their foreheads.

A small giggle escaped passed the woman's lips as she pecked the vampires.

Pulling away Alucard glanced at the table beside them with a disapproving look.

" Your still looking for a cure aren't you" he sighed releasing his mate and walking closer to the table picking up one of the many scattered books, studying the cover before scanning a few pages.

A sigh passed Freydís lips as she glanced away from him. " I know we talked about this Alucard but.... If there's a chance I can be normal..." she trailed off as Alucard turned around to look at her.

It was true a week before they did talk about her curse. Alucard wanted her to stay the same. Saying he saw no curse only the beautiful woman who had stolen his heart. But that did little to change Freydís mind.

"Nothing about our lives will ever be normal Freydís no matter how hard we try. I'm a half breed, son to the vampire who tried to kill all of mankind. And" he walked closer to her grabbing her hands in his.

"I love you for you Freydís, I fell in love with everything about you. I don't want you to change because you think you have to" he confessed.

"But Alucard thinks about the future! What will happen if we have children and it's passed to them?! This has caused me nothing but pain since the day I was born. I never wanted this!" she tried to explain to him.

A sad look cast over the vampire's golden eyes.

"Your Gift brought you to me. If it wasn't for it I would have never met you. We would have never fallen in love" he reached a hand up to cup her cheek.

"just... Think it over... I'll go get dinner started for us while you finish up" he sighed as he kissed her forehead before leaving and heading to the lift that would bring him to the surface.

Now alone Freydís glanced back at the table of books feeling conflict in her heart.

Alucard was right, if it wasn't for her curse she would have never met him or Trevor and Sypha.

But if she didn't have her curse her parents would have never given her up. Never would have sold her into slavery. She would have never been tortured.

As she began to pick up the books to put them away she kept thinking of all the pros and cons.

Walking between the many aisles and putting away books Freydís had accidentally hit a crystal ball off of one of the many shelves causing it to roll.

With a sigh of annoyance, she set her last few books down and walked after the rolling ball. Only to see it go under one of the many cases against the wall.

Getting on her knees she reached under the case and began to blindly feel around for the round crystal only to stop when she felt leather.

Wrapping her hand around it she pulled her arm out and was shocked to see in her hand an old leather journal with a strange insignia on it in the shape of a hand with the number 1 in it.

Leaning back on her thighs she slowly opened the journal to see old brown pages covered in water damaged.

The pages we're covered in strange drawings of creatures she had never even seen or heard of before.

As she turned one of the pages she stiffened as she saw the writing was different. It wasn't written in ink like the other pages it was written in
