Chapter 8 - Misunderstanding

Author's Pov

Y/n got home and heard noises in the dinning room. She found her whole family there. Her sister, Rose and her husband Namjoon. She went straight to her sister's embrace, showcasing how much she had missed her. It had been long since she visited, after all.

"Ohh hey my little sister, I miss you so much." She coed in the embrace.

"I miss you more actually." She said before she greeted Namjoon.

"He was a very polite man. My sister did indeed hit the jackpot. He was handsome, intelligent, tall and everything else a woman would want a man to be, rumours had it that his older brother Jin was just like that."

They had dinner while talking about several things. Y/n smiled seeing her whole family there and something in her wished that she had invited Jungkook. Rose cleared her throat and was ready to announce something. She stared at Namjoon and he gestured for her to continue.

"Ahh well, we are 2 months pregnant." She said with a huge grin. Everyone were over the moon, smiling and congratulating them.

"Namjoon dear, you should also encourage your brother-in-law to start a family soon."
Y/n's mother stated with a scoff while looking at Yoongi.

He stared blankly at her and snorted. He clearly wasn't interested in the topic. He was even older than both Namjoon and Rose but he had no girlfriend still. There wasn't anything wrong with that though, after all relationships are one heck of a rollercoaster ride.

The dinner came to an end and the couple left, while all of them went to their own rooms. Y/n stopped by Yoongi's room to tease him a bit.

"Got what mom said? I can hook you up you know." She said teasingly .

"Please sis, save me that speech, you don't know my taste." He said while laying on his bed. Y/n squint her eyes a bit and then her eyes widenened after the realization.

"So, you are gay?!" She said while blinking her eyes repeatedly. He looked at her with scrunched eyebrows.

"Wtf! Just because I don't have a girlfriend doesn't mean I'm gay, shorty." He said as he threw a pillow 

"Stop calling me that, anyways I'm just two doors away. I can still hook you up." She said while going and he raised his middle finger at her. Their usually cat and mouse bickering that made their age gap seem like they were just a year or two apart. 

She went straight to her room and started to ponder about Ethan. She kept on throwing questions at herself.

"I know my answer, right? I mean I love Jungkook, and I know that. There's really nothing to think about, but Ethan is a remarkable person. I can't help but find it hard to break his heart again." She said thinking out loud.

She decided to call Jisoo not knowing what to do. Jisoo gave the best advices and she knew she could always count on her for anything.

"Hey Unnie." Y/n said softly.

"Hello Y/n, what's up?" She responded with a casual tone. She told her literally everything about what happened earlier.

"So ahm, did you tell Jungkook about this?" She scrunched her eyebrows as she asked her.

"No, does he really have to know? I don't want him to have more insecurities than he already has about Ethan." She asked trying to contemplate well.

"Of course, silly, imagine he finds out from someone else. It might make him feel like you are probably going to give Ethan a chance. Wait, are you? Actually, why are you even thinking about this in the first place?" Jisoo responds and reality hit Y/n on the face. She remembered the silence in the car and Jungkook's last question.
