Taylor's POV
Last night I went out with some of my friends and had a really good time. Oh, Tom and I are done. I was the one who ended it. I truly liked him and he was a wonderful guy, but I just felt guilty because I couldn't stop thinking of that guy I saw at the Met Gala. Turns out my friend Cara is also friends with him. I met him last night—like, ACTUALLY talked to him. He's got the most beautiful blue eyes and his accent is so cute. I got his number and I'm going to meet up with him today.

I arrive at a secret location and I see him already there. He pulls my chair out for me. "Thanks. It's Joe right?" He nods and smiles. "Right. I suck at names, sorry. Plus I got a little drunk last night so I barely remember."

Joe's POV
A little? She was totally wasted last night. I had to help Cara get her home last night. "Yeah, you kept trying to kiss me and tell me about your exes." Her eyes widened. "Oh god, I'm so sorry. Are you serious? Ugh, I'm sorry. I feel so embarrassed" she said, putting her face in her hands. "Eh, don't be. It happens." She looks at me, her face red from embarrassment. We stare into each other's eyes for what feel like a lifetime. "God, you're so beautiful."
"Thanks babe" Taylor said. "What?" I say, smiling at how embarrassed she was getting. It was so cute. "Shit! Nothing. Ignore me. I meant to say thank you. I keep messing this up. I'm sorry." I grab her hand. "It's ok. Stop apologizing."

Taylor's POV
Holy shit! He's touching my hand! I'm totally melting inside. "Well, I should probably get going. This was nice. I'll text you." "Yes! Please do." he said. We hug and I rush out of there without it being obvious that I was blushing. I got into the car and waved by to him. I miss him already. I feel so safe around him and he truly understands me. I love that about him. Is this my new potential soulmate?
