-------------------Author's Note-------------------------

Sorry it's taking us so long to write this guys. We are writing it together & we never have time to even do anything with school kicking our butts. It doesn't help that we no longer have internet. We will try and get more out as soon as we can! Thanks for sticking with us! :)

Please comment and tell us what you think! Vote if you like it! & we will try to get more chappie's out quicker!!

I don't like when people say chappies... (Riottess) hehe... Pagan's dumb. No offense to anyone who does!!! No hate!!!!!

^^^^ Why do people always say no offense when they know they are going to offend you? (PaganLou)

^^^ Because we aren't trying to be offensive, we're stating our opinion. You do it too. Anyhow.. on to the story... no one wants to hear us bicker like an old married couple! (Riottess)

Whatever.... Thanks for putting up with us!!!! (: Hope you enjoy! (PaganLou)

-_- Story time. Shutup and write.

**********ASHER'S P.O.V.**************

I pulled into the driveway of the familiar house. I hadn't been here in a while though I promised I'd visit soon. I glanced at the dirty white siding, the black shutters, and the old porch swing. I stepped out of my car, onto the gravel driveway and walked toward the old, two-story house. The fallen leaves crunched beneath my feet as I reached the creaky wooden steps.

As soon as I reached the top step, the front door opened and the small brunette tackled my waist.

"Ashe!" she shrieked.

"Hey, Em." I smiled, hugging my little sister. "How's my favorite girl?"

"I missed you!" she smiled up at me.

I reached down and grabbed her, throwing her over my shoulder, walking inside. The smell of the food hit me first. Then, the sound of the soft piano music drifting from the sitting room.

"Who's playing the piano, Em?" I asked.

"My best friend!" she giggled.

"You have friends?" I teased her.

"More than you, thanks." she hit my back.

"Watch it." I said. "I'll drop you, little girl."

"Mom! Mom!" she screamed.

"Emma!" I whisper-yelled. "Shut up!"

She screamed before shutting up. I finally put her on her feet and walked toward the sitting room. Emma jumped in front of me, blocking the entrance.

"Move, Emma." I told her.

"You can't...." she sighed. "Mom needs you."

I rolled my eyes and turned to go to the kitchen. Emma happily jumped ahead of me to skip.

"Ha!" I yelled, jumping back and running into the sitting room. There, behind the grand piano, was my best friend from high school. There was Michaela.

"Hey, Ashe." she smiled.

The music stopped flowing from the piano as she turned and stood up. She glided toward me and hugged me gently.

"How are you?" she asked.

"I'm good." I replied robotically. "How've you been?"

She rolled her eyes. "What's up with you?"

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"You're acting as if we're strangers." she chuckled.

"I'm sorry." I muttered. "I didn't exppect to see you here. I missed you."

I gave her another hug, a real hug.

"Much better." she laughed. "I've been fine. My grandma is sick."

"I'm sorry." I frowned. "I know you guys are really close."

"Yeah..." she glanced at the floor. "The doctors say she's not going to make it."

"I'm sure she'll be fine." I smiled. "Miss Ellie can pull through anything."

"Yeah. You're probably right." she faked a smile.

"Really, Mickey." I looked deep into her eyes, trying to make her understand.

"Thanks, Ashe." she smiled genuinely. "You always make me feel better."

"It's all a part of the plan." I teased, using a line she'd used on me when we'd first met.

She giggled and pulled me into the kitchen.

After a long, but fun, day with my famiily and Michaela, I headed back to my dorm.
