Rachel's POV

I put on my jeans which by now were ripped and my grey sweatshirt. I was heading out to run an errand for my new boss. I entered the store, got the stuff and left. I got back to the hide out where some of the girls looked at me and scoffed. I raised a brow when one of them had the nerve to say.

"Tch...looks like we got a new errand girl here."

I looked at her and set the bags on the counter. "Excuse you?"

"You heard what I said...bitch." She hissed as she spat in my face.

I pushed her. She pushed back. I didn't have time for this and went to walk away when she grabbed my hair, yanking me back. I yelped a little and she snickered.

"Don't ignore me!"

I licked my lips before my elbow jabbed her in the rib cage and I took a hit at her, knocking her in the jaw. We got in sort of a brawl when I pulled a knife on her. Then our boss came in.

"Just in time." I snarled in her ear.

He broke us up and I looked at the girl, licking the blood from my lip and she wiped the blood from her nose. He ordered the girl back to her room and he looked at me, with the knife.

"Looks like the little one is feisty." 

I rolled my eyes and smirked. He roughly grabbed my chin and made me look at him.

"Don't pull that again. You're gunna have to prove yourself first."

"I thought I just did."

"Don't get smart with me you slut. Tonight we're gunna take a little drive." He whispered in my ear and walked off into his room with his buddies, taking the bags on the counter.

I looked at the rest of the girls before throwing the knife in the sink and walking by them and back out the door pulling my hood up. I went to go hang where all the orphan kids were and the junkies. Most people went there to get high or have sex. I was new so people gave me looks. I just ignored them. I borrowed a cigarette and lit it. I hug out for a while and then made my way back to the house. I got dressed and ready for work to start. I reported to my boss. He reminded me of the conversation we had earlier and led me to his car. He drove off and went down an alleyway where it was kinda quiet and not a lot of civilians. I got out.

"So what are we doing here?"

"Remember how I said you needed to prove yourself?"

"Yeah?" I questioned.

"Well imma have someone here who needs to know their place."

"Alright?" I looked around. "So where are they?" 

"Their right here." He snickered and I heard a click.

I turned around and my eyes got wide as I saw a revolver pointed straight at me. "Wh-What are you doing?"

"You didn't think I would find out who you are? Rachel." He hissed.

"F-Find out what?" I stuttered.

"You really didn't think I would figure out that you were the daughter of the Spiderman and Black Cat?"

My eyes got even wider. "How did y-"

He cut me off. "Word gets around fast in Chicago."

I backed up and tried running. The last thing I heard was the gun going off and a sharp pain enter my head.
