Third Person POV

Sirens could be heard in the distance as the man's car drove off and Rachel's body laid there. Her eyes were open, life slowly draining out of them. Blood coming out of her head. Some neighbors heard the gunshot and called it in. The sirens got louder till they stopped. And two officers got out of their car, taking their guns out and turning on their flashlight. One of them spotted Rachel's leg.

"Hey Mark I got something." The officer whispered to his buddy.

"What is it?"

"It looks like a leg..." He walked closer and shined the light on her body. "Oh my god, call it in. It's the girl from the photo. Tell them we have Rachel."

The other officer got his radio and called it in.  Radio chatter was to be heard in response. The officer touched her neck to see if he could feel a pulse.

"Call an ambo."

The other officer called the ambo. Soon enough police cars and an ambo showed up as well as some detectives who taped off the area and called it a crime scene. Rachel was put on a gurney and rolled into the ambulance where she was taken straight to the hospital while the detectives looked at the crime scene. One of them called Detective Aaron and let him know that they found Rachel and she was headed to the hospital.

Aaron jumped out of his seat and ran out of his hotel telling the rest, back in New York that they found Rachel and he was heading to the hospital. He called Peter, Felicia and Jake, telling them that Rachel was found and now in the hospital being checked out. They were ecstatic and Peter told everyone. Well, everyone who knew Rachel existed. Everyone who knew her had to keep it a secret. They  flew to Chicago, meeting up with Aaron who was already in the hospital.

"Well where is she?" Peter asked, looking around frantically.

"Peter she's in critical condition." Aaron responded looking at Rachel's family.

"Critical?!" They responded together, in shock and worry.

"Yes. That all the doctors told me. They wouldn't tell me what happened." Aaron sighed, just as a doctor walked towards them.

They all looked at the doctor. His face looked at them and sighed. "Rachel's family?"

They nodded.

"Rachel is in critical condition. When the cops found her she...well. There's no easy way of putting this. She was shot in the head."

They gasped and Peter sat down with his hands in his head.

"But," the doctor continued. "She somehow survived. When we did surgery we found that her brain was healing itself," his voice went into a whisper. "almost like there was some energy, mending it together."

Rachel's family looked confused and wondered if she did have powers after all.

"I would like to keep her in the hospital for a few weeks just to make sure everything's alright."

"Alright thank you doctor." Felicia finally spoke up.

The doctor nodded and walked away. A few hours passed and Rachel was rolled out and put into a room. She was still under anesthesia. A nurse came to Rachel's family once she was starting to come around. They rushed in and waited till she opened her eyes.

Her head moved, fingers twitching and her eyes lazily opening.
