The next three day's were filled with endless torture for Raoul. Who knew Erik knew so many ways to torture him. It was blissfully overwhelming. My favorite was when Erik drank wine right in front of him. I kept giving him mudwater and saw how dirty and soiled his clothes and he was. I kept hoping during this time that he would realize I was no longer his. He didn't. One day I was giving him water when he begged for more wine. 'Slip it in the water!' He begged. I just rolled her eyes at him.
"I never thought I would end up with someone this pathetic."
I could see he truly hated me now. Good, now he's showing me the truth. I smirked and then realized it was passed the third day, when I was reading after giving Raoul water. I then quickly grabbed my wedding ring and came back to him. He seemed surprised."Hello Christine."
"Raoul"
I slowly walked up to him."Come to water me?"
"No."
I smirked. He tilted his head and raised his eyebrows at me. Oh I was going to enjoy this."What th-"
I had enough when he took a breath to speak. So I slapped him, hard.
"What was that for? Did he put you up to this?""No, Erik is out shopping. And that is for being so awful to me!"
I barked at him."What do you mean awful? I was the perfect husband! I gave you everything you desired! I loved you with my whole heart Christine!"
I shook my head as I could feel the tears pouring."You're ridiculous."
I turned and started to walk away madder than ever."Christine! Christine, come back! Just tell me what I ever did to you!"
I stopped and I was boiling over in anger and fury. I looked back at him with a gawking face and pure shock."Raoul, the day you were brought here, you slapped me! You almost broke my jaw, squeezed my shoulders! You had me cornered. You threatened me Raoul! Do you not understand that it's wrong for a husband to treat a wife that way?"
"I did not threaten you! I told you what I expected of you."
I couldn't take it anymore. I ran out in anger and grabbed the ring. I came back showing it to him with glazed eyes and hatred. I smiled and made sure he watched as I threw the ring of his in the lake. His eyes grew large and I prayed it was a sign that he knew it was over. I then walked so close to him I could smell his nasty breath."I hate you Raoul De Changy."
As if I didn't make it clearer enough.
"I could care less what happens to you now."
I growled. I raced out of the room and slammed the door to the torcher chamber and raced out in tears. I suddenly see Erik seeing me and he raced over with is bag of groceries. I saw him smirking at Raoul then rushing to see if I was alright."Angel what happened?!"
I looked at him and told him everything that had happened. He growled and went to where Raoul was. I sat on the couch till he came back and comforted me.
"It's going to be alright angel...I won't let him get away with this.""Angel....all I need right now is you."
He nodded as I gently kissed him.
