A teardrop slipped from my eye down to the nose and to the floor as I lay down, my thick black hair covering half of my face, my one eye closed due to swelling. I closed my other eye and cried silently, my whole body shaking, trembling. I can't. I can't live like this anymore. It hurts; my whole body felt like it was on fire. My scalp throbbed due to my hair being pulled too much, my left arm, I can't even move it, my whole abdomen felt numb, my face felt numb and swollen.

I screamed at him to stop. But he didn't, he kept on thrashing me, holding me up by my hair. He kept on yelling at me but the pain and my scream faded his voice away.

" Why did you leave me?" I whispered brokenly into nothing. " The world is too cruel without you two." My voice fading away and as always I didn't get a reply, an answer.

"WHY?" I screamed.

"Why mom? Dad? Why did you leave me?" I called out softly to them. My eyes roaming around my room which was my safe haven, which now was destroyed. My door shattered into pieces, my bedsheet torn, my quilt ripped, my computer shattered, my lamp, my books, my clothes, everything, he destroyed everything.

He destroyed me.

He succeeded. I lost.

I lost again. I failed my parents again.

"You could have taken me with you. Please take me home." I whispered softly before I slipped into a dreamless sleep.

"How's she holding up?" I heard a faint voice coming from far away, his voice echoed as if he was speaking from a deep tunnel.

"She's doing okay, she might wake up soon" A second voice replied to him, his voice a little clear from the first one.

"She has to."

"Yeah."

Who has to? Who are they? What is going on?

I wanted to move my body, but I couldn't. I couldn't even move my eyelids. I started to panic, I couldn't feel anything, I felt like I was trapped inside my body.

"Micheal?"

"Yeah?"

"I think something is wrong."

"What do you mean?"

"Look at her"

"Call the doctor."

That was the last thing I heard before darkness enveloped me again.

I slowly opened my eyes. For a minute I couldn't remember anything. Where was I? What happened? I looked down at myself, I was in a bed, a hospital bed, my one hand covered in plaster while the other was tied?

Why is my hand-tied? I tested the knot and it was firmly fastened to the rails of the bed.

"That is because you won't run away Miss Cooper."

I looked up and saw two men, one around in his early forties while the other, wait, what?

"Pretty-boy?"

"Actually, my name is Brian." He looked at me and nodded his head.

"Who are you? What are you doing here? Where am I? What am I doing here? And why do you expect me to run away? Why do you don't want me to run away?"

"Miss Cooper-" The old guy started when I interrupted him.

"First, untie me."

"Very well. Brian?"
