"No!" I yelled at the person sealing the door of the tunnel.
"He has to come, for fucks sake, how could-- did he just vanish?" Micheal said in exasperation, his eyebrows furrowed and his body tense. He kept swearing and his hair soon turned into a mess due to his fingers constantly raking through it as a sign of nervousness.
Noah just stood in the corner, his eyes fixated on the sealed tunnel door as if Brian would magically emerge from there.
"Sir," The person said. His facial expression was not clear due to darkness, but his voice wavered when he spoke. "You need to come with me, you all need to leave before anyone spots us," He added in a low voice, his head down.
Noah and Micheal looked at him, their eyes filled with anger and irritation. The guy quivered and looked down at his feet again after a moment gaining the courage to look up.
I looked at him with curiosity. Why was he so scared of us? What's going on? I was about to ask when Noah's voice interrupted my train of thoughts.
"Where is the car?" He said.
"Dude, No. We can't leave without him?" Micheal returned.
"I--" The guy tried to speak when Noah interrupted him again.
"We have to. We can't stand here long. It's dangerous, we have to leave. We will figure it out later," Noah answered.
"But---" The guy was about to speak again when Micheal cut in.
"What if he comes after the moment we leave? Can't we wait?" Micheal asked, his hand grabbing Noah's bag from letting him leave and completely ignoring the guy who looked like he was about to pull his hair right at this moment. His mouth opening and closing.
"Hey, give me my bag!" Noah advanced on Micheal, trying to snatch away his bag.
"Umm- guys?" I tried.
They both ignored me and continued their banter. Getting afraid that their loud quarrel might attract some attention, I tried stopping them from arguing.
The guy looked at me with exasperation, his eyes dead annoyed and scared. I passed him an apologetic look and moved towards them in order to calm them down.
"Okay, that's it. SHUT UP YOU TWO, JUST SHUT THE HELL UP RIGHT NOW, OR I SWEAR I AM GONNA PUT YOU IN A GROUP TEXT THAT YOU COULD NEVER GET OUT FROM," I said, my face going red and my hair messed up due to being tossed between Micheal and Noah. They instantly calmed down and looked at me with an amused face.
I moved away and brushed my hair with my fingers and straightened my shirt. Picking up my bag, I started to move towards the direction, which I assumed the car would be.
"The car is that way, Miss Cooper, " The guy called out from behind me.
I stopped in my tracks, my face getting more red with embarrassment and irritation that my dramatic exit was ruined.
Without turning back, I moved to the other direction, my head held high. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed Micheal trying to stifle his laughter.
"Douchebags," I muttered under my breath.
We all continued on the trail of a path and spotted a car on the side of the road. The black gleaming under the street light.
My thoughts floated back to Brian and my heart dropped thinking of his whereabouts. The worry was evident on all of our faces.
Once reaching, we turned back to look at the guy who got us out of the tunnel, but to our surprise he was gone.
Vanished.
