"No, that's not happening," Brian said after a minute. "We are leaving."

"Oh darling," Maria started. "Surely you didn't think I'd risk the safety of my base, revealing the location and you could just saunter off, now, did you?"

My breath started to come out heavy. Heavy with emotions of the possibility that I walked in. The moment we stepped in our cars and drove here.

"We don't give a rats ass of your base or your stupid plan, you can take that and shove it up to your--" His voice was cut off when he threw a chair across the room. The chair crashing to a computer system placed nearby. I flinched and took a step back or two. Noah stood rooted to his spot as same as Maria. Not a flinch or surprise passed on her face. As if she was prepared for everything. Know everything.

"Go ahead, destroy something else," Maria walked across the table, and leaned back it, "I daresay, I have too many," She said, challenging, fueling the rage burning in the eyes of Brian.

"Brian," I called out softly, my eyes started to well up with tears. He looked at me, and within a second he understood what I was about to say to him.

"No." Brian shook his head, his eyes were red with anger. "That's not happening, you're not doing it"

I clenched my hand, trying to gain courage. Enough strength to take a step towards possibly ending all the pain, ending and relieving all of us from the endless torture.

"Maria," I said, my voice filled with determination and knowledge that what I was about to do was correct. Was the right choice. "I am ready."

"NO!" Brian and Michael yelled at the same time, but I refused to flinch and look towards them, my eyes fixated on Maria, who stood in the shadows, leaning on the desk, waiting for us.

"Great--," Maria began before she was cut off by Brian. Brian angrily walked towards me. I looked into his eyes and the courage I found and formed a few seconds ago, started to wear off. I flinched and took a step back before he reached me. He grabbed my one hand, turning me around he took me further back, away from everyone.

Pulling me in front of him he pushed me towards the wall. His both hands on my shoulder keep me still. I looked down afraid to look into his eyes. The fear crawling up my skin. The fear of pain and hurt.

The aura of Brian around me did not feel safe at that moment. Everything around us was blurred. I wanted to get away from him. My hands started to quiver.

"Look at me," He said. His voice was harsh.

I was too scared to move, feeling I would make a wrong step and anger him more.

"Damn it, Blair, LOOK AT ME," He yelled, making me flinch hard enough that led to shutting my eyes tightly, my hands clenched tightly on my sides, preparing myself for the hit that was about to come.

I felt the weight of his hand lifting away from my shoulders. The warmth of his body decreases. I slowly opened my eyes and saw Brian right in front of me but a few steps back.

"You thought I was going to hit you," He whispered.

I looked away from him, waiting for a moment, I started to walk back before Brian stopped me.

"You can't accept it," He said recovering from his last statement, " That is a suicide."

"Look at us," I spoke. " This is the nearest we have been to them, you can't catch them by the books. Where have we reached till now?" I advanced "This is probably our only shot, and this, all of this, all those lives, the pain this Mafia has inflicted, this is more than just you and me. This is our only choice."
