"Are you sure this is safe for humans to travel in?" I whispered to Micheal who was sitting next to me.

"I am sure they're trying to kill us," Micheal replied back in a slow whisper. I turned my face towards him, my expression horrified.

"Oh yeah? I vote for killing you first." Noah replied from my other side. I turned my neck towards him, his eyes were closed and earphones were shoved in his ears. I never looked at him from so close. His dark chestnut brown hair almost covered his eyes. Sharp cheekbone and a scar running from his neck to the back of his left ear.

"I vote for killing you first." Micheal mimicked from beside me. I looked at Micheal again and shook my head. These two argue like 5 years old.

"The plane is perfectly safe for humans, in fact, safer." Brian came sauntering over to us clad in dark jeans and a v-neck shirt. I looked up at him in his eyes and saw him staring at me. I could never read his expression, always felt like he could see right through me, his eyes never showed any emotions, his posture was always alert, taut. I never saw him, the real him, it was like a wall protecting him, guarding him.

"Here." He handed all of us a bottle of water. I was glad to take it. My throat was parched. I gulped down more than half of the bottle in one go.

"Alright, we're headed to New York as you all know," Brian said. " We are being shifted to a bigger training facility to train for the upcoming mission i.e. to get Maria on our side. She has been in hiding for two years, and nothing could be tracked down to her, so we need training and all the necessary self-defence skills because we have no idea about her or about how she would react upon finding us."

"Now, about you two guys," He continued. "You've been selected in a college in Australia, A Micheal and a Noah will be boarding right now from Oakland. Same for you Blair, you have been selected in a college in London."

As minute by minute was passing by, and with every piece of information I am starting to receive, I realised the graveness of the situation I was in. Jumping from the plane seemed like a better idea rather than living my life. I looked around me. Sitting on this bench secured with a seat belt on the walls of this cargo plane I contemplated whether my life would ever be back to normal. Heavy goods were fastened down and covered with plastic sheets all around us. What was in them? We had no idea.

"We'd be landing in a couple of hours, you might want to take some rest." With that, he walked off to the opposite side of this huge aircraft.

"Take rest? I could hardly feel my left butt-cheek." Micheal said. " They could afford all this and not cushions for the seat?"

" Okay princess, now shut your pie-hole and let me sleep."

"What's your problem dude?"

"You,"

"I-"

"Okay, would you two shut up?" I cut Micheal off.

Micheal started muttering some stuff under his breath, I could only catch stupid and was always the better twin in his silent rant.

I sighed and rested my head on the wall. Adjusted myself a bit to get into a comfortable condition and tried to get some sleep. My mind buzzing with excitement and anxiety. All this not helping me to sleep but being awake for the past 48 hours, my eyes were burning due to lack of rest and my bruised body protested every movement.

I shut my eyes and eventually, darkness swallowed me.

"Here we are," Brian called out. His back facing us and for the first time, his posture relaxed. "Home." He said.
