I looked at 5 different screens displaying information about me with 4 others, each one of the screens also displayed our photograph along with our dead parents. I looked at the first screen displaying the girl named Maria. Her head covered in a loose scarf, it looked like the photo was taken through a surveillance camera, her head was down, her eyes covered in dark shades, wearing dark clothes, all the rest features was a blur. Shifting my gaze I looked at the next two screens that displayed the twins, it was hard to tell them apart, yet their style distinct them apart. Micheal, his eyes sparkling in the picture, mouth formed in a sly grin resulting in a dimple on his left cheek, while Noah, his face wearing a bored expression, his eyes dull, hair tousled and a bit longer. Moving to the next screen, Brian. The only person I knew. Sort of. His stark feature doesn't fail to show in this poor quality picture. His sharp eyes and alert posture, the unreadable expression on point. Then there's me with the picture that was taken when I entered the unit. Even this black and white photo, clicked in a dimly lit room showed my bruises on the face, I looked away and moved my gaze to my parents' pictures. My mom, much younger, her eyes smiling and her face held a content look. She was wearing her lab coat, with her name displayed proudly on her chest. Beside her, my dad, in a separate photo, wearing a white shirt, smiling at the camera, his eyes same as mine looked through the picture.
I shifted my gaze and looked at my surrounding. I was underground in a safe house as I heard Daniel talk to Brian. It looked like a large basement to me. Bright lights lit up every corner of this huge room. One side held cars. Modified with better engines and nitro boost, upgraded exhaust pipes and whatnot. The other part held some guns, locked in glass cases, and the last part where I was currently standing is a whole unit with 8 monitor computer system, connected to external hard disk. 4 screen hung aside that telecasted videos from various cameras planted in every corner of this unit.
Everything was white, spotless. There wasn't a single piece of decoration item in sight, not even a clock. Three walls of the room were naked but one. One displayed a world map. The map at least covered 3/4th of the wall. It wasn't an ordinary map though. The map could be controlled by the set of controls set upon a counter, placed in front of the map. The control was a small screen, the miniature of the whole screen hung on the wall displaying the map. It could be zoomed in to whichever part we want. Just by a click, you could view a street of a city across the world. The main part is, the map showed live images. You could view everything that's happening all across the world.
