It was 10:45 when I looked at the clock. Billie was still in bed; finally a day to sleep in. I rolled and watched him as he slept, he looked adorable. He was on his back mouth slightly open making a light snoring noise. I thought for a minute then took my finger and lightly ran it down his nose. He shut his mouth, scrunched his eyebrows a little then rolled over facing me. His face was right in front of mine. I traced his face with my eyes and smiled then lifted my finger again touching the tip of his nose. He twitched a little. It made me smile. He smiled then threw his arm around me tossing himself on me as he growled. I let out a playful yell and we laughed. He sat up straddling me and wiped his eyes.
“Well good morning Miss Gloria.” I laughed.
“Good morning to you too.” He smiled.
“Want some breakfast?”
“Not if you’re cooking.” I teased.
“Oh come on were the pancakes that bad?”
“Not too bad just a little tough and the scrambled eggs were slightly runny.” He slumped over and put his head down. Then rolled off and flopped back down to his pillow. I rolled over propping up on his chest. I poked at his nose.
“I’m only teasing you Billie. I would love to have breakfast here.” He smiled. “But I want to help this time. you can’t have all the fun.” I smiled and he laughed. “Deal?” I put my hand out he grabbed it and shook it.
“Deal.” We got up and headed for the kitchen. There was hardly any food in the fridge. The only thing left for breakfast was three eggs, a few pieces of fruit from yesterday, and some oatmeal. We cooked all the eggs in the pan and heated us some oatmeal. “I guess I need to go to the store.”
“Yea.”
“I wish you could go with me.” He looked at me sad. I wasn’t allowed to go because of paparazzi.
“It’s ok.” I said smiling. “I’ll help you make a list then I’ll meet you downstairs to help carry them up.”
“Ok.” He perked up a bit. “Just don’t run away while I’m gone.” He grinned stirring his oatmeal.
“Are you kidding me? The way that guy jerked me up before I don’t think I’ll be trying to draw their attention to me anymore.”
“I’m sorry about that.” He looked at me a bit hurt.
“It’s ok.” I said smiling.
We finished breakfast and I helped make a list. I wasn’t very big just a few microwave dinners and mostly junk food with some soda. He left and I took that opportunity to clean up a bit. I washed the dishes and wiped off the counters. It took me and hour and Billie still wasn’t back. I got done then sat on the couch. The TV didn’t pick up any good channels. That’s why we always watched movies. I decided to just sit in the silence and fiddled with my nails. I looked over at the door. Hmm I wonder if it’s locked. Even if it wasn’t, there was a guy outside waiting on any girl to snatch up that decided to run out of the boy’s rooms. I started biting on my jaw. I was becoming too curious. The guards could be napping. I’m sure they get bored hanging out in the halls all day. I gulped and stood. I heisted for a minute then stepped to the door I went to stick my hand to the handle, but I pulled it back and stared at it. What if it does open and no one’s there would I really run away? Would I be able to find Claire and get her out safely? I didn’t want to leave without her. I took a deep breath and put my hand on the handle I expected it to be stiff, but it turned, I went to pull the door but felt something pushing it. I jumped back startled to see a guard was opening it.
