Rain POV

I laid in my bed beside Kol. I really don't want to admit this but... I think I love Kol. It's not something I'm proud of but it's true. I can't always lie to myself.

Kol is stroking my hair again making me flutter my eyes wanting to fall asleep. It's only midday but I don't care. Even though the sun is shining it isn't like I have anything better to do.

"Kol." I sat opening my eyes to look at him. "Why are you so nice to me?" I asked him. Kol had a questioned look on his face. "What? I can't be nice to you, love?" He said smiling now.

"Well I didn't say you couldn't be nice, it's just that your brother kidnapped me and you are perfectly fine with that. You treat me like I'm your girlfriend, not a random girl that got kidnapped and has to stay here."I told him.

Kol looked at me for a moment. "Rain, I love you, okay. You will be safe with me, love." When he said that I looked at him with confused eyes. How could he love me? I had only been here for about a week.

It's not that I don't love him, I do, but I can't stay with him, his brother is a killer who kidnapped me. He told me he could only visit me once a month. I wouldn't be able to stay that long without him.

I wouldn't be able to love him that way. Maybe we could resolve something.

"Kol, I love you too, but you know we can't be together. We just can't, you can't send me to Virginia if we were together, I wouldn't be able to withstand the pain." I told him looking into his eyes.

Kol lifted my chin with his finger. "Love, I can visit you whenever I would like, my brother doesn't control me. We will escape tonight and I will stay with you in Virginia for a few days until you are comfortable with Damon. Rain, just call me whenever you need me, okay."

When he told me that I could feel my face getting warm. I nodded at what he said and then closed my eyes.

"Kol, wake me up when we need to leave." I said smiling a little bit feeling his fingers brush over my hair. Next thing I know I'm asleep in Kol's arms.

Kol POV

I held Rain while she slept. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with her. She doesn't believe we are vampires and she doesn't know I'm a killer. The poor girl knows nothing about me, but she still loves me.

She looks so cute as she slept. I ran my fingers over her hair and then looked at her closed eyes.

I leaned over her to look at the time. It was almost time to go. She has been asleep for a few hours. I couldn't sleep though. It was almost dark outside and I should probably go get her some food.

I slipped out of bed and marched downstairs to make her a meal.

"Kol!" I heard being yelled. I whipped my head to see Klaus.

"What, brother?" I said while standing in the kitchen. "Why do you spend all your time with the girl? We have other jobs and I know you are going out hunting tomorrow so please get some things done before you go." He hissed through his teeth. I had told Klaus I was going hunting for a few days so I could be with Rain.

I nodded at Klaus and began making her some dinner.

Tonight I will have to tell her I'm a vampire. That's the only way we could get to Virginia quickly. I will have to tell her.
