Kol POV

"Shh... It's okay." I told Rain. She wasn't moving but I could hear her heartbeat, she was definitely alive. I had refused to give her my blood, which would heal her.

I couldn't give it to her because I knew Klaus would probably kill her, and if she had my blood in her system...

Anyways ok laying next to her brushing her hair just telling her its going to be okay. I knew she couldn't hear me but it keeps me calm.

Her eyes began to move back and forth flickering under her eyelids. "Rain?" I asked. Her eyes soon opened to reveal her blue eyes.

"Rain, don't talk.. It will just hurt more." I told her stroking her hair.

She nodded a little and tears began to form in her eyes. I knew the pain must be excruciating. "It's okay. I couldn't get you better, yet. I couldn't risk it so I'm going to wait for you to feel better, dear."

"What happened?"she croaked grabbing her neck in pain.

"I told you not to talk, Rain." I said smirking a little. "Well someone came, and he hurt you. I found you and brought you to my room until you could get healed, love." I knew that wasn't enough to tell her but It was going to have to do for now.

Rain mumbled a few words before I told her to be quiet. I didn't want to give her my blood but I really had no choice. I couldn't watch her die.

I looked at my wrist and then at her face, her face looked terrible and pale and dull.

I couldn't waste another second. I bit into my wrist, there was no pain when I did it. I put it to her mouth and watched her mouth take in a little at a time.

"It's going to be all right, Rain, I promise." I told her. To be truthful I really can't promise her anything because Klaus is just an unexplained case, so confusing and unpredictable all the time.

I stroked her head watching her scar disappear and I watched her drift back into sleep like a small child. I couldn't risk leaving her incase Klaus came and decided he wanted to kill her, that would be just terrible, all my fault really.

I pulled the blankets up around her and got out of bed, deciding to clean the room up a little, even though it was very clean overall.

I picked up some clothes and folded them onto the dresser and folded some blankets.

She looked so peaceful, I wish my life was that easy.

Rain POV

I woke up feeling fine like it was just a dream. I ran my fingers over my neck carefully. I saw Kol in the chair on the other side of the room. "Better now, love?" He asked me. I nodded quickly.

"How was it fixed so soon?" I asked him unsure of how long I had been asleep. "I am not sure I just put some medicine on it and it healed up, just like new." He told me smirking.

He was just something wasn't he, just full of surprises.
