"Lisa! Wait up!"
I turned around in curiosity, only to feel the corners of my lips lift up at the sight of Jackson rushing towards me with a huge grin. It's the second week of me working here and I could say Jackson and I had become really good friends.
"Morning Jackson," I greeted but gasped as he suddenly gave me a hug. I watched as students, who were either around or simply walking by, gawking at the sight. I let out a nervous chuckle and awkwardly patted his back. He pulled away with same contagious grin.
"Morning," he greeted before taking my bag from my hands. I furrowed my eyebrows together,
"You don't have to—,"
"Too late," he said with a playful wink before motioning with his head towards building A.
If I wasn't interested in woman, my heart would have absolutely fluttered.
I playfully rolled my eyes and chuckled before following his lead, "Cheeky," I teased. He chuckled and playfully nudged my side before rushing in front and opening the door for me. He playfully bowed,
"After you madam."
I placed my hand over my mouth and giggled before teasingly slapping his arm as I walked past him to enter, "You're such a dork."
He laughed and caught up with me. I continued to feel his arm graze mine but I payed no attention to it. The only thing my eyes focused on the moment I walked in was her.
She was leaning her back against the wall laughing with whatever Yeri was saying. The way she had her eyes squinted as she displayed the biggest smile with her loud, but cute laugh echoing down the half empty hallway created a warm fuzzy feeling in my chest. And, that feeling only increased the moment she met my eyes. Her laugh subsided but her smile remained.
That smile.
It reminded me of the first day I entered high school. I was scared and felt so small but the first time I saw that smile, I felt safe.
"Earth to Lisa."
I blinked rapidly and quickly looked away. But, when I turned to face Jackson, I gasped in surprise seeing how his face was a little too close for comfort. He widened his eyes as well and quickly backed away with a small blush in cheeks.
"Sorry," he chuckled. I shook my head and grinned,
"No worries, you just caught me off guard," I laughed out. He only smiled at that, showing off his pearly white teeth and handed me my bag.
"Lunch again later? And this time I'm paying," he pointed with a teasing grin. I leaned my back against the wall and sent a smirk his way,
"We'll see about that Wang," I joked. Suddenly, his playful smile changed into a smirk as he took a step closer causing him to tower over me.
Oh.
He's giving me the look...
"Oh yeah?" He asked. His voice lowered into a husk, something men always do when they're flirting. I'm not oblivious, I know when a man is interested in me. And this man right here is definitely interested.
"A-actually, I brought my own lunch this time," I awkwardly chuckled and avoided his eyes. It wasn't really lie, Ella packed me lunch. And by lunch I mean, she gave me a jelly sandwich with m&m's. Disappointment flickered in his giant brown eyes but he immediately backed away and smiled in understanding,
"Okay, tomorrow then, my treat." he said.
"What's happening tomorrow?"
Jackson and I flinched in surprised and turned towards the owner of the voice.
