"Hey Lisa!"
Here we go.
I turned around and forced out a smile, "Hey Jackson," I greeted kindly. He made his way in front of me and sent a smile that should've made my heart stop but all it did was make me feel even more uncomfortable than I already was.
He stopped in front of me in the crowded hallway, "Since we didn't have lunch together last week, I wanted to ask you if I could take you out to dinner?" His giant brown eyes screamed hope. But, I know in just a second that look will change to disappointment.
"As a date?" I stupidly asked. Jackson looked down with a hint of pink spreading in his cheeks while rubbing his nape awkwardly,
"Y-yes," he stuttered out. I looked around and felt my body cringe at the sight of students watching our every move. I also felt the embarrassment increase at the sight of my fellow teachers staring at us as well, especially one specific brown eyed teacher.
Her eyes stared at me so intensely that I had to find a way to escape them before I faint. I swiftly took Jackson's wrist and dragged him into my empty classroom, rolling my eyes as the student, aka Nayeon, squeaked in excitement.
I closed the door and faced him,
"I have to be honest with you Jackson," I breathed out. I met his eyes with a an awkward grin, "I'm not really interested in you like that." I watched Jackson's shoulders sag in disappointment,
"Oh."
I quickly rushed towards him and placed my hands on his shoulders, "It's not you! I-it's more like," I paused awkwardly and let out a breath, "I'm not interested in guys in general."
We both remained silent.
"Oh," he paused for a moment before widening his eyes in surprised, "Oh!" He yelled out. I backed away from him, laughing slightly with the way his eyes remained widened. He blinked rapidly, letting my words sink in before grinning and rolling his eyes,
"Well, now that makes a whole lot more sense," he breathed out. I tilted my head in confusion,
"What do you mean?" I asked. He smirked and leaned back against the desk,
"Who in their right minds would reject this face," he asked with a pout while motioning to his face and batting eyes. I rolled my eyes and let out a laugh,
"Lesbians Jackson, full on lesbians."
He playfully rolled his eyes but nodded in agreement, "Well, thank you for not damaging my pride," he laughed out. "But, now I'm starting to realize a few other things," he said with a little smirk. I grew a little nervous under his curious gaze,
"What—?"
"You like Irene."
I widened my eyes and immediately let out a forced laugh, "I'm sorry, but what?" I felt my palms grow sweaty, my heart beginning to race and my cheeks heating up. Jackson's smirk only widened,
"You don't think I've caught you staring at her?" He asked.
"I-I don't know what you're talking about," I stammered out, the pink in my cheeks increasing in heat and darkening it's color.
"Oh yeah, you so got it bad," he chuckled out. I scoffed and shook my head,
"It's not what you think, Irene and I," I paused and looked away, fiddling with my fingers in front of me nervously. And, looking back at Jackson, and seeing the look on my face, Jackson's teasing smirked immediately dropped. He stared at me in concern, patiently waiting for me to continue,
