"Why?" Came the voice of Percy Jackson. He peered out from his door, facing two figures. One being a teen and the other looking like a child. His face scrunched up even more as he took in their appearances. The teen tried for a smile.
"Percy Jackson, my blessings upon you! I am in need of assistance." Percy frowned. His eyes darted to the younger figure.
"Who's your friend?"
"This is Meg McCafffrey," The teen, Apollo, replied, "a demigod who must be taken to Camp Half-Blood. She rescued me from street thugs."
"Rescued..." Percy started, "you mean the 'beat-up teenager' look isn't just a disguise? Dude, what happened to you?"
Apollo looked a little disheartened at the question. "I may have mentioned the street thugs."
"But you're a god."
"About that... I was a god."
The demigod blinked. "Was?"
"Also," The once-god said, "I'm fairly certain we're being followed by malicious spirits."
Percy had to keep calm. It took nearly all of his focus to keep from punching Apollo in the face. He let out a sigh. "Maybe you two should come inside."
---
Percy and Sally helped the two out as much as they possibly could. Meg and Apollo were decked out in new clothing and well-fed. Apollo, with some contribution from Meg, explained his situation to the pair.
Remember the whole, being chased by malicious spirits thing? Yeah. It didn't end to well. While trying do avoid them, Percy crashed the car. Luckily, everyone was able to get out okay-ish. The three were faced by plauge spirits, though they managed to handle themselves (barely) with the help of a karpos. Everyone was pretty unscathed, though Percy did have a cold. To make matters worse, the police were approaching.
"Aw, Hades no..." He muttered.
The police car was pulling over on the side of the road.
"Great, if they tow the Prius, I'm dead. My mom and Paul need that car."
"Go talk to the officers," Apollo urged. "You won't be any use to us anyway in your current state."
"Yeah, we'll be fine," Meg said. "You said the camp is right over those hills?"
"Right, but..." Percy scowled. "Most people enter camp from the east, where Half-Blood Hill is. The western border is wilder--hills and woods, all heavily enchanted. If you're not careful you can get lost..." He sneezed. "I'm still not even sure Apollo can get in if he's fully mortal."
"I'll get in." Apollo said, though it sounded as though he was trying to convince himself more than he was trying to convince Percy. The sound of doors opening interupted them. "Go," Apollo urged once more. "We'll find our way through the woods. You explain to the police that you're sick and you lost control of the car. They'll go easy on you."
Percy laughed. "Yeah. Cops love me almost as much as teachers do." He glanced over us both. "When you guys get to camp, ask for Y/n. She's a... friend of mine."
Without anymore question, he tapped the cap of his pen to his sword and trudged back down the hill towards the approaching law enforcement. "Officer? Sorry, I'm up here. Can you tell me where Manhattan is?"
Apollo turned to Meg, ready to continue their jouney to camp.
"Y/n?" Meg asked. Apollo shrugged. He tried to search around in his mortal brain for the godly knowledge he would've had on this girl, but he had nothing.
"Unfortunately young Meg, I don't remember a Y/n at camp."
---
You stared down at your hands. You had this strange feeling that something was going to happen today. Something... odd. As if right on cue, one of your friends began pounding on the door.
"Y/n," the voice came shakily, "I-I'm going to need some help."
You walked to your door, opening it to be greeted with the sight of Will Solace. He looked panicked. His hair was disheveled and he had a stethoscope on, though it was backwards. You blinked.
"What's the problem?" It was rare that Will ever wanted your help. Sure, you two were friends, though he was independent when it came to medicine. You understood and respected his space. Not that you would be any help with healing anyways.
"My dad's at camp."
