You and Will worked together to haul Apollo to Meg. On her arm was a line of butterfly bandages that were oddly closing a nasty-looking cut. Her green dress was dirty and her leggings were shredded. Meg looked at the teen between you and Will and immidiately scrunched up her face and stuck out her tongue.

"You look yuck."

"And you, Meg, are as charming as ever."

Again, you spaced out as they bantered back and forth. You thought again about Apollo saying your name. Why? Before you could think about it more, your thoughts were interrupted by Will beginning to walk again. You caught something about seeing Chiron. You continued to lug the ex-god across camp. You caught a glimpse of your brother, Sherman. But he was walking weird. You decided not to question it. As you walked past the Hermes cabin you saw to girls giggling and whispering to each other, presumably saying things about Apollo. As you glanced at him, you noticed him blushing. Eventually, you finally reached the Big House.

On the porch was a demigod you knew quite well, Nico Di Angelo. He wore faded black jeans, a Ramones t-shirt, and a black leather bomber jacket. As usual, he kept his Stygian iron sword hung at his side.

"I remember you," Apollo piped up. "Is it Nicholas, son of Hades?"

You held back a laugh. Nicholas?

"Nico di Angelo." Nico shot you a glare before studying Apollo. "So it's true. You're completely mortal. There's an aura of death around you-a thick possibility of death."

Meg snorted. "Sounds like a weather forecast."

Nobody else found it amusing. A look of terror passed over Apollo's face. Will put his hand on Nico's shoulder. "Nico, we need to have another talk about your people skills."

Here we go, you thought, time for the cute lovey-dovey stuff to start again.

Will abandoned you to hold Apollo on your own. He wrapped his arm around Nico's neck and turned back to the two of you. "I apologize for my boyfriend."

Nico was surprisingly unphased. He must finally be getting used to the cutesy things Will does. He rolled his eyes. "Could you not-"

"Would you prefer special guy? Or significant other?"

"Significant annoyance, in your case," Nico grumbled.

They went back and forth a little longer.

"You guys fight a lot. I thought we were going to see a centaur." Meg pitched in.

"And here I am." The screen door opened. Chiron trotted out, ducking his head to avoid the doorframe. Chiron smiled at the tennage god, but he seemed distracted.

"Apollo, it's good you are here. Wee need to talk about the disappearances."

"He-he really is a centuar."

"Well spotted," Apollo said. "I suppose the lower body of a horse is what gave him away?"

Meg punched him in the arm.

"Chiron, this is Meg McCaffrey, my new master and wellspring of aggravation. You were saying something about disappearances?"

"Welcome, Meg." Chiron's voice seemed strained. "I understand you showed great bravery in hte woods. You brought Apollo here despite many dangers. I'm glad to have you at Camp Half-Blood."

"Thanks," Meg said, "You're really tall. Don't you hit your head on light fixtures?"

"Sometimes. If I want to be closer to human size, I have a magical wheelchair that allows me to compact my lower half into... Actually, that's not important now."

"Disappearances," Apollo urged. "What has disappeared?"

"Not what but who," Chiron corrected. "Let's talk inside. Will, Nico, could you please tell the other campers we'll gather for dinner in one hour? I'll give everyone an update then. In the meantime, no one should roam the camp alone. Use the buddy system."

Will made a joke about Nico being his buddy, then the two left. You looked at Apollo, then Meg, then Chiron. You pointed at yourself. "Uh, Chiron-"

"Y/n, if you could help Apollo inside please." Your shoulders slumped slightly. You didn't mind helping out, but you were starting to feel as though you were going to be permenantly lumped in with these two. You led Apollo inside. Immediately, Meg began to look around the room after asking about Seymour the stuffed leopard head.

Chiron settled into his wheelchair. You and Apollo took seats next to each other across from the centuar. As you looked over at Chiron you and Apollo were both holding back snickers.

"That's new," Apollo said, gesturing at Chiron's legs. Instead of his usual legs, he now had female legs dressed in fishnet stockings and red sequined high heels. He sighed.

"I see the Hermes cabin have been watching Rocky Horror Picture Show again. I will have to have a chat with them."

You rested your head in your hands as Chiron and Apollo talked about the Hermes kids and Meg. You wanted to let out a groan, but you stopped yourself. You didn't want to be rude to Chiron, after all. Oh boy, you thought to yourself, this ought to be interesting.
