Okaaayy so, unlike last week, I worked a whole lot this week, so I didn't really have time to come up with a full-fledged chapter and instead decided to do another mini-bonus chapter instead of giving you guys nothing. I'm sorry about that! Anyway, this is my way of saying THANK YOU for 70 votes!! I know a lot of other stories get way more, but honestly I don't care! I never expected to get this kind of support from this book and every step of the way I've had you guys supporting me. I love you so so so much for letting me entertain you and give you your weekly dosage of Apollo. Thank you for all of your loving comments, votes, and if you've shared this with friends, that's awesome too! I seriously can't thank you enough for everything. Anyway, enjoy this chapter!

The god was minding his own business, laying down in a field of grass, staring at the sun. He aws thinking about how he used to drive the sun chariot across the sky every day. He was reminded of the time he allowed Thalia Grace to drive. The memory got a soft chuckle out of him.
"Hey, Apollo."
His thoughts were interrupted by none other than his favorite pest, Meg. Apollo turned to face her, and was surprised as she lay next to him.
"Meg?"
She was silent. Apollo turned back to face the sun. He wasn't sure why Meg was there, but if she wasn't talking now, then she probably wasn't going to talk at all. He closed his eyes, letting out a sigh. Meg spread her arms and legs out, as if she was making a snow angel.
"What do you think about Y/n?"
Almost immediately the ex-god's face turned red. He opened his eyes and sat up, trying to get his emotions under control.
"Meg! What are you talking about?" He hissed. He stared at the demigod, but she seemed unphased by his reaction. She shifted her gaze to look at him.
"What are you talking about? She's supposed to help us on our quest, right? That's what that Percy Jackson guy said. What did you think I meant?"
Apollo took a deep breath. "Ah. Yes. That's what I... That's what I thought you were talking about."
"So?"
He cleared his throat. "Well, she's a child of Ares, which I wasn't expecting."
Meg raised an eyebrow. "Is that a bad thing?"
"Most children of Ares are... well, bloodthirsty? But Y/n is very calm. She reminds me of Frank Zhang, a child of Mars, the Roman version of Ares."
Meg gave a nod. "Anything else?"
"She... She's caring, and selfless. Without hesitation she's already helped us quite a bit."
"She's helped you a lot. I don't know why she was okay with dragging you around on your first day here. I would've dropped you." Meg said.
"Thanks." Apollo replied, glaring at the girl.
"Just being honest. Why do you think Percy told us to find her?"
"Who knows... your guess is just as good as mine."
"Maybe she's adventurous and strong." Meg offered. "And good at quests and stuff."
"She is a child of Ares. Typically they are strong." Apollo reminded Meg. "And good at quests and stuff."
Meg rolled over so she was laying on her side, looking Apollo straight in the eyes.
"She's pretty."
Again, the god was forced to do his best to hide his reddening face. "Yes, Meg, she is pretty. Every girl is pretty."
"But you like Y/n more than just every other girl, right?" Meg asked.
Apollo struggled to find words for a moment. "Meg, I don't know where you're getting these ideas from but-"
"Hey Apollo! Hey Meg!" Came the voice of Y/n. She took a seat next to the ex-god. "What are we talking about?"
Apollo took a moment to take in the girl's appearance. Her h/c hair, e/c eyes, and her georgeous s/c skin. When she smiled he felt himself struggle to breathe. The god hadn't felt this way in a long time. He was reminded of his past lovers, but... somehow, Y/n was different. She didn't make him sad when he looked at her. He kept trying to convince himself that he shouldn't have these thoughts, but whenever she showed up they would always come flooding back.
What's wrong with me? Apollo found himself thinking. He'd only known Y/n for a few days. How could he possibly be in love with her?
Suddenly there was a hand in front of his face. "Apollo?" Y/n asked. "You awake in there?"
He was pulled back to reality. "Oh... Y/n. Hello."
"Hey sleepy-head." She gave him a warm smile that melted his insides. He wanted to pull her into a tight embrace and stay like that forever.
Dear gods... Apollo thought to himself, one of you, please save me.
"Are you okay?" Y/n asked. She looked concerned.
"Oh, yes, I'm fine. Thank you, Y/n." She didn't look convinced.
"Apollo, you don't have to lie to me." She held his shoulders for a moment, looking him straight in the eyes. Apollo was freaking out, though he tried to stay calm. "Here."
She pulled him into a tight hug, giving him a squeeze. Meg watched as Apollo slowly slid his arms around her. He was a blushing mess, and he was really, really hoping that his face would go back to normal before Y/n saw.
"Thank you."
