Escapril, day 2. Prompt 2, 'growth/decay'

Growth: human beings grow every day. We get taller, our hair gets longer. Our bodies change, the shape of our brains change daily. We grow up and mature. We grow old and fall apart. But from the time we're born, we're growing. We are constantly moving and growing. That's amazing. But we grow a lot.

We grow when we get yelled at. We grow when we get hurt. We grow when we get a bad grade. We grow when we witness terrible things. We grow when we find happiness. We grow when we hug each other. We grow when some had a bad day. We grow when doctors give you bad news. We grow when we people come and when they go. We grow when we had a good day. We grow when we see a beautiful sunset. We grow when we meet pretty people. We grow when we get lost. We grow when we get found. We grow when we have late breakfasts. We grow when we lose feelings. We grow when we fall on sidewalks. We grow when we sleep in late. We grow when we finally find ourselves.

Decay: human beings decay every day. We get shorter, we lose our hair. Unfortunately, our bodies change. The state of our brain fades away. We grew up and matured like we were told to. Now its time to become old and fall apart. Constantly. Just as fast as we grow, we decay. That's crazy. And we decay a lot.

We decay when we realize our fates. We decay when we finally slip away. We decay when we change ourselves for other people. We decay when those pieces of ourselves don't come back. We decay when bad thoughts find become good. We decay when we realize sunsets are so beautiful, and we missed out on a lot. We decay when we finally grow up. We decay when we finally find ourselves, as ourselves.
