Walking down 29th and Park I saw you in another's arms
Jonah walked down the street after ten months had passed of him and Corbyn breaking up. It was around 7 pm. He decided to take a stroll to clear his thoughts. Just like Corbyn, Jonah had taken time off. Only Jonah took it after nine months had gone by. He hadn't felt any emotions until now. It was like he was numb before but now, it all just hit him, at once.
Jonah whipped his head up as he heard a familiar giggle. A giggle that he used to and still loves. A smile crept on his lips as he remembered that smile. But his smile quickly faltered once he noticed what had caused that giggle.
Standing a few feet away, on the other street, was the love of his life with someone else.
Corbyn had looked better than the last time Jonah had seen him. His eyes were now bright again. And Corbyn looked like he was a healthy weight compared to last time.
Jonah's heart broke at the scene. Yes Jonah knew that he was the one who broke it off with Corbyn but deep down, he had hoped that they would cross paths again and make up. Or least try to. But he should have seen this coming. Yet he didn't want to face the reality.
So with fresh tears running down his cheeks, Jonah turned the opposite direction of the scene that had broken his heart more and made his journey back to his apartment.
He couldn't stand seeing Corbyn in another's arms.
