~ 2 years later ~

"I cannot believe this actually happening," Daniel said with a smile as he watched the scene from afar. His hand intertwined with Corey, his lover. He had finally found his own happy ending and he couldn't be anymore happier. Corey was the one for him and he knew the moment he laid his eyes on him.

"I can't either. I'm so happy for them." Zach smiled as he was in jack's arms.

"I cannot imagine how nervous Jonah must be." Eben laughed softly as he watched Jonah down at the beach. Angie, his now wife, in his arms.

Jonah stood next to the big sign as he shook his hands softly. The big sign reading "marry me?" A nervous smile stayed on Jonah's lips.

Daniel, who used to could not even be next to the couple without him feeling awkward around the couple was now best friends with the couple.

Eben, reunited with Jonah was now one of his best friends. Jack and Zach were now a couple. Corbyn had played Cupid with his colleague and his boss. And everything finally felt perfect.

The friends stood a few to the side as they watched.

Corbyn had been on a maze run, given clues that would lead him here. Where he and Jonah first had their date. A beautiful place to come back to ask for hand in marriage.

The friend group all quickly shit their mouths as Corbyn walked down the aisle that was of rose petals. They watched as Corbyn gasped once he saw the sign and Jonah at the end.

He quickly made his way and teared up once Jonah dropped down to one knee.

"It's been three years since we broke up. Never in my life would have I ever thought we would make it this far. Never did I think I would make it this far. You truly saved me Corbyn. Not only did you give me a second chance at love but you gave also gave me a second chance at life. I was suicidal. I would have ended my life. I was stuck. My whole life was stuck. After what had happened to me, I truly felt like I couldn't move on." Jonah began his speech.

"But you came back. You're my angel. After you came back, I got my life back on track. You supported me at my therapy sessions, you know my triggers, you help me through my anxiety attacks. During that eleven months without you, I felt so numb. I felt so lost. And I never want to feel that feeling again. I should have done this a long time ago." Jonah said as he softly laughed, Corbyn as well as tears ran down his cheeks. "Five years with you are not enough. And now two more to add to that. I want to spend my lifetime with you. This is where we had our first date, a day I could never forget. The day I knew I had found my soulmate, the love of my life. I let you go before and I will never make that mistake again. I love you so much Corbyn Matthew Besson. Would you do the honors of taking my last name and making you mine forever? Will you marry me?" Jonah finally asked the question.

"Yes!" Corbyn screamed as he jumped up and down.

Jonah wiped his own tears and laughed as he slid the ring onto corbyns finger. Jonah stood up and picked Corbyn up and spun him around.

"I love you so much," Jonah said as he stopped and held Corbyn up.

"I love you so much more," Corbyn whispered as he leaned his neck down and connected his lips on Jonah's.

The friend group came running in as they cheered.

"HE SAID YES!" Jonah yelled out as Corbyn laughed.

"CONGRATULATIONS!" Everyone yelled as they bombarded the couple into a hug.

As the friend group celebrated, Corbyn and Jonah snuck off to the side.

"I cannot wait to spend my lifetime with you." Jonah said as the couple walked around holding hands.

"I'm so excited to be Corbyn Marais." Corbyn smiled as Jonah smiled as well.

"Corbyn Marais certainly sounds better than Corbyn besson." Jonah laughed.

"Thank you," Jonah said after a minute of silence.

"For?" Corbyn asked as he arched an eyebrow.

"For saving me," Jonah said as he looked over at Corbyn.

"I will fight for you for the rest of my life." Corbyn said.

"I love you so much," Jonah said as they began walking back to the group.

"I love you so much more." Corbyn responded back.

Before the couple went back into the group, they said their quote that became their own after everything that went down.

"I'm happier with you."

"WE LOVE YOU!" The friend group yelled as the couple joined them again. The couple laughing at their friend group.

As the couple looked around their friend group, they made eye contact and smiled.

"I love you," Corbyn mouthed to Jonah.

"I love you too," Jonah mouthed back.

As the night came to a close, everyone there was genuinely happy. Everyone happy with who they ended up with. Everyone getting their happy ending. Everyone deserves their own happy ending.

Corbyn and Jonah, their journey not finished. But know that they would never let the other ever slip away without a fight again. They will never make that mistake again.

Because it comes down to one thing.

Corbyn and Jonah are
