'Thanks for your help Violet.' Miss Roberts gave me an appreciative smile.
'I would've been stuck here for hours if you hadn't been able to help.'

'Hey it's not problem. I'm always happy to help.'

English was my last lesson of the day and by far my favourite class. Dad says I take after my mum with my love for writing and telling stories. I don't remember much but I do remember her constantly writing things down in her note books or on the first scrap of paper she could find if inspiration took hold and she didn't have her usual books to hand. Dad gave me a box filled with books, receipts, napkins that she'd scribbled on and I treasured them like they were the most precious thing in the world. I could only dream that I end up being as talented as she was and Miss Roberts has always been so encouraging not to give up on that dream.

I'd been lucky enough to have her as my teacher for the last couple of years and was over the moon when I found out I had her again this year.

I'm not really one for participating in school activities and clubs but I always agree to help out with the drama club when she asks.

Each year the English and drama teachers team up to put on our school play. As the school year had only just started a play hadn't been chosen yet but they'd asked for volunteers to help clear out and tidy the prop cupboard, in preparation for when rehearsals start. Being Miss Roberts' favourite student she had to come to me first to ask for help and being my favourite teacher I didn't mind saying yes.

'Shall I just leave this box here?' I asked, plonking the last box onto the floor as all the other space in the storage cupboard was taken up.

'Yes that's perfect. Now you've worked hard enough, go home.' She said practically pushing me out the door, making me smile.

'Ok I will. See you tomorrow Miss.'

'See you Violet.'

As I was exiting the drama building I realised I'd made the same mistake I'd made the other day by leaving some books in my locker that I needed. If it hadn't been for homework due tomorrow I would've said screw it, but I didn't need a detention for not handing in homework this early on in the year. I groaned and turned around, heading back into the main school building.

Of course my locker also had to be miles away didn't it?

It was quite late now so school was deserted. Not wanting to stay any longer than I needed to I reached my locker in double time and quickly searched for the books I needed.

I was busy zipping up my school bag as whilst walking down the hallway to leave, when a firm grip on my arm dragged me into a nearby classroom. It all happened so quickly that I couldn't yelp or see who it was. When the classroom door was slammed shut and I was pushed up against it, that was the first opportunity I got to see my attacker.

Mike held my arms as he watched me with amusement.
'Just the person I was daydreaming about.'

I told myself not to be scared, that's exactly what he wanted, but I was aware only a handful of people would still be left in the whole school.
'What're you still doing here Mike?'

'Detention.' He answered not moving an inch away from me.
'What about you? We're you waiting for me?'

'Why the hell would I do that?' I spat out before successfully pushing him off me.
