My mom Sarah is a single mother of two, Emily and Jacob. She worked hard to provide for her family, some days she won't even come home. Since my father died three years ago, my mom hasn't been herself lately. Things were so bad some nights we wouldn't have food to eat.
Sarah's POV
After my children's father (Adam) passed away, I've always strive to be the best mother. Sometimes I would work 2 jobs just to provide.
But lately things have being getting the best of me.
.A few days later there was a knock in the front door, and what I saw shattered me.
Eviction notice!!
All I ever tried to be was a good mother that can provide for her children. I tried holding back the tears that are about to escape my eyes, and of course that was useless.
Gasp.....as I try to catch my breath, there Emily was, standing tall with a concerned look on her face.
We're being evicted!
Emily's POV
One morning, I woke up to a loud knock on the front door, as I got off my bed I headed straight to the living room, and there I saw my mom sitting on the floor tearing up, " what's wrong mom?" I asked, but there were no answer.
As she got ahold of my hand, she pulled me down to her level, I could feel her tears hitting my shoulders like bullets she then said, " we're being evicted".
I felt shattered, knowing we had no place to live, possibly homeless.
That same evening, I was laying in my room thinking of what could possible happen to my mom, my brother and I, then I heard a knock on my door. "Come in" I responded, as my mom approached me, she said, " I'm heading out, don't wait up there's food in the fridge"
"where are you going?", I replied. But she didn't answered, she just starred at me, then left.

A few hours passed by, and I decided to go check on my brother Jacob. As I sauntered down the hallway, I finally reached his room and knocked on his door, but there were no answer.
Second knock still no answer, as I swung his bedroom door open, there he was was sitting in front of his mirror whispering. I stood there for about 2 minutes trying to see, who was he speaking to.
As I approached him solely, I shook him on his shoulders and asked, " who are you talking to?" He replied no one Emily and ran off.
I stood there confused.
Jacob has always been a weird kid, not much friends, or anyone really to talk to. So when he started making up imaginary friends, I didn't think much of it. But recently things were getting far different about him. In fact, it started to become a bit scary for me.
~~
It's now 6 o'clock and still no sign of mom, hours turned into days. I tried calling her but her phone was off.
WHAT THE HELL!!...I thought to myself.
After 3 long days without mom, she was finally arrived home. As I approached her, I realized that she was all happy, so I asked, "what happened?" She said, where moving......tomorrow.
I was baffled, lost for words, mostly confused, "how could we be moving when just 3 days ago we didn't have anything?" I thought to myself.
The next day, here we are on a bus traveling miles away to our awaiting destination.
During the drive for what felt like years, I thought about what happened with Jacob the other day back home. Ever since he was younger, he was quite visionary, I mean, you could make a movie with his thoughts.
He has always being a smart kid, love to read, he was never a kid to play with a lot of toys like normal kids do....his toys was books.
But lately he's been acting a bit weird, I noticed he reads less and sits in front the mirror more often than a teenage girl.
A few minutes later,my thoughts started to drift away, and my eyes slowly started to close, and before I knew it I was asleep.
