The house next door

Chapter 4

It's 6:30pm, and Hailey and I decided to get ready for this "party" she think we should go to.

After what felt like forever on deciding what I said where, I settle for a simple thin strap, knee length black dress with two slits at the side, a jeans jacket I borrowed from Hailey and a black and white converse.

I then decided to leave my hair down, seeing that it was already curly, there wasn't much to do with it.

"Todayyy Hailey".... I yelled.

Hailey: "it's takes time to look this good you know", she said.

She really did look amazing. She settled with a short leather black shirt, almost showing her bums, and a light pink silk shirt tucked into her skirt and some matching wedge heels to match her shirt.

"You look hot", I said to her.
Hailey: So do you, lets go before we're late.

"Mom we're leaving", I yelled.

About 20 mins we finally reached at the party.

As Hailey opened the door, the scent of alcohol and smoke filled my nostrils. I made my way through the crowd.

"Wow", there's a lot of people here, I thought to myself.
Grinding, sweat and a lot smooching is all I could see.

Hailey dragged me to the kitchen with her to pour us a drink.
"What's in this?", I asked.
Hailey: Just taste it, you'll like it.

As I poured the drink down my throat, I felt a burning sensation.....urghhh

Hailey: giggles, you'll get used to it don't worry.

After a few hours have passed, I finally understood what Hailey meant when she said I would get used to the alcohol.

I couldn't even count what number I was on, all I knew I was having a good time.

"Hey, you wanna play beer pong?", some guy asked.

I didn't even answer him, I just starred at him. He was so hot....caramel skin, a short wavy black hair, about 6'2, a sexy jawline, broard shoulders, he was soo fine, I thought to myself.

"Uhhh sure", I responded a few seconds later.

After playing beer pong for what felt like an hour or so I decided to go look for Hailey, I haven't seen her since she gave me that drink.

After searching the house for 15 minutes, I made my way to the balcony, and there she was making out with some guy.

Urghh....I thought to myself. As I spun around to make my way back inside, I collided with something hard.

"Awe", I said.
It was the same sexy guy, I was drooling on a few hours ago. " oh it's you"......

"I'm sorry beautiful", he said.
"Beautiful?"....I thought to myself.

I tried to make my way passed him but he stopped me.
"Where you going?", he asked.

"Ummm somewhere else", I said.

"Well, can I join you?

Sure!

We made our way to the back of the house, where there is less people.

"I'm Marcus", he said.
"Emily".

He made a lot of small talk with me at first, which was a bit awkward at first, but then I gradually started to enjoy his company, after all...he was hot.

We spoke for what felt like forever, we laughed and he called me a lot of cute names which made me blush a little.

After check my watch, 12 o'clock, yikes!!
Umm.... I should get home now, it's pretty late.

"Would u like me to take you?"...he asked.
"It's okay, I came with Hailey.

After I told him that his face frowned a little, I guess he was a bit disappointed.

I made my way to find Hailey, and there she was with the same guy....still kissing.

"What the hell"....isn't her jaw hurting by now, I thought to myself.

Haileyyy it's midnight we should go now.

Giving the guys her last kisses we then proceeded out the door.

As we drove back home, I broke the silence with a question.
"So was he like your boyfriend or something?", I asked.
Hailey: No, what made you think that, I met him there.
"What"!! You guys were literally all over each other.
Hailey: yeah, so?

I just starred at her, and we both busted into laughter.

We made our way into the house and straight through my room. We both just plumped ourselves on my bed and drifted off to sleep.

The smell of bacon woke me up, I turned and saw Hailey snoring, fast asleep. I made my way to the kitchen and greet my mom and brother.

A few minutes later, Hailey joined us. After living here for almost six months, Hailey definitely made herself welcomed into our home and my mom and brother really like her anyway.

During the course of the day, my best friend and I decided to relax a bit on the porch and take some sun after what felt like the longest night in history for me.

While relaxing, I reminisce about last night, but completely lost focus when I heard someone called me name.

"Yes", I answered to Hailey thinking it was her.
Hailey: yes what? She giggles I didn't called you.

I decided to not tell Hailey about my occurrence, because it really felt nice having a friend and I didn't want to scare her off.

Again!.... I heard someone called my name but decided to ignore it.

Whoosh whoosh.... I felt a heavy breeze passed behind me, which cause me to jump in shock.

Hailey: Hey, you ok?

Ummm yeah I'm fine...I said to her, but in reality I wasn't, I was petried and clueless as to why, whatever is happening in this house. I'm why I'm the only one experiencing it.

I looked across the street, and what I saw was indescribable. I turnt to Hailey but she was clueless. She was just there in her own world....probably thinking about last night.

I looked across the street again to the abandoned house, and what I saw wasn't there anymore.

We stayed outside for about an hour again, and every now I then, I would find myself looking across the street, overthinking, or looking at Hailey.

Then, Hailey broke my focus.
Hailey: So umm u met anyone last night?
