The house next door

Chapter 3

"Peep peep peep", the annoying sound of my alarm rings off at 5:30am, I lazily dragged myself off the bed to cut it off, I laid there for about 10 mins before I could actually get ready for school.

Finally, getting off my bed, I brushed my teeth, got dressed and did my hair.

I sauntered down the hallway into Jacob room, as I raised my hand to knock on his door, there he was.. sprinting down the hallway into the kitchen.

"He's pretty excited", I thought to myself.

I soon followed him into the kitchen, where my mom was already making breakfast. After about 20 mins has passed..." beep beep" and there was the bus. We scurried outside, where we caught the bus on time. We said our goodbyes to mom and headed straight to school.

Within 30 mins, we arrived at our school. "Here comes nothing", I said to myself.

Jacob and I existed the bus, we said our goodbyes seeing that we're both in different grades.

I felt so uncomfortable because of the students around me, and they practically knew one someone is new to the school, all eyes were on me.

I tried ignoring them all and headed straight to the principal's office.
Knock knock, "enter", I heard.

Principal Williams: "ahh you must be Emily Scott, the new student?", have a seat please.

Your first class is English with Miss Hook and your locker #216, here's your timetable and if you need anything you know where to find me....

Umm, thank you.

Principal Williams: Ohhh...and Emily, "Welcome", she smiled at me.

I made my way to my locker and noticed the hallway was empty, "urghh, class must have started already. I got the books I needed for English class and headed that way.

As I approached the class, I stood there and the teacher came right at me, I suppose she was already expecting me.

Ms.Hook: Ohh hi, You must be Emily Scott?...I'm miss Hook, your English teacher, she welcomed me and told me to have a seat.

"Pling pling", it was already lunch time, I've already made it half way through the day and I must say it was pretty ok.

Thou, I haven't made any friends yet....but that wasn't an issue for me.

During my lunch period, I decided to head to my locker, where I saw a flyer on it stating, " Vote Student President", I just shoved it in my locker not caring much about any school activities.

That's when I heard laughter, I turnt to the left of me and saw a girl with a blue jeans on a light pink crop top with a light pink converse.

"Cute outfit", I whispered.

Wasn't much of a whisper, because she heard me.

"Not to bad yourself",she responded.

"Hi I'm Hailey"..... she said.

I'm Emily, nice to me you.

Hailey: So you're new right?
Emily: Uhhh Yh....

I've always been an introvert, so the thought of making friends wasn't a motive for me. Though it would be nice once in a while to have someone to converse with.

After a pretty good day at school, it finally came to end.

"We're home", I yelled.

I went straight to my room to get of these clothes. After changing, I decided to go through my phone for a bit.

Before I knew it, it was already night. "I've been on my phone that long?", I thought to myself.
I decided to take a bath.

I made my way straight to the bathroom, after about 30 mins I was out.

"Bang bang bang", "what the fuck?", I thought to myself.
Who's knocking like that, as I swung open the door, there wasn't anyone in the hallway. I turn around to head back in my room, But I came to a hault.

I felt numb, gasping for breath, unable to scream, I was petrified. What felt like eternity, I finally came back to myself.

Though I didn't understand what just happened, I could feel teardrops escape from my eyes, as I imagine what just happened.

That same night, as I laid in my bed, I thought about the what if's.

A few minutes later, I checked my phone, 1:30am, shocked at the time already and I'm not asleep yet.

I groaned, knowing how tired I'll be in the morning.

As I forced myself to sleep, I tried to forget what happened.

And I drifted off to sleep.

"Beep beep beep"....Urghhh, I rolled my eyes at the annoying sound of my alarm.

The second day of school wasn't to bad, as I started to get used to it I easily made friends.

Although Hailey was one of my friends I preferred mostly. I mean she understood me, didn't judge me or anything, or at least as far as I've seen.

The week flew by, and Hailey and I started to get pretty close. I mean I've even invited her by me.

One Saturday evening, I decided to invite Hailey by me. While in my room we spoke for hours, about a lot of different things I didn't think I'll ever speak about.

I told her about my pass, and she just listened. She even spoke on hers and I listened.

"Wow", U been through a lot, she said.
Soooo..... "have u had any boyfriend yet?",Hailey asked.
How did I know this was coming?...I rolled my eyes.

"Umm nope", I replied.

So wait, you're a 17 years old, clearly you're smart, gorgeous, perfect body and you're telling you haven't had a boyfriend yet?.....

Are you gay?...she laughed

What?!! Of course not.

I guess I haven't had the time to meet anyone yet...I shrugged.

Hailey: well that's ok, there's a lot of hot guys in school, you'll definitely meet one there.

Haileyyyy....I groaned, I'm not sure if that's the right move, I just wanna focus on school right now.

Hailey: I understand, but you're young, so enjoy life. There's this party tonight at 8pm, at one of the guys house and you're going.

Ummm.....

Hailey: We're going, she said sternly.

Ok fine, whatever.
