Lilly's pov
I ran after the car and came to a stop once we reach Heather's house, I huffed and began to sniff the air searching for any signs of life, I walked over to them as they got out of the car, making me follow them as Nancy rang the doorbell.
We waited for a moment but now one answered. She tried one more but still no answer so both Nancy and Jonathan looked at El who seemed to understand and she opens the door. I walked next to them as I looked around the house,
"Tom?" Nancy said, " Heather?"
"Jesus, it's freezing," Max said, that's when a strange smell came at me and I huffed, making the others look at me.
"Ugh, Do you guys smell that?" I growled as the smell was too strong it made me shift back. They all sniffed the air and we followed Nancy to the kitchen and it was a nightmare.
"Oh, God," Nancy said, as every chemical was spilled onto the floor and on top of the broken fridge. "More chemicals."
" This is so bad for my nose," I said, I could still feel the burning sensation inside my nose.
"You think they're guzzling this shit?" Jonathan asked,
"Yeah, either that or they just went on a hell of a cleaning spree," she said, which made Jonathan look at her.
"But last year, Will didn't eat chemicals." Max said, " Did you?"
"No., this is something new." Will said,
"Mr. Clarke, fifth grade. Posit. What happens when you mix chemicals together?" Mike questioned,
"You create a new substance." Both Will and Lucas said,
"What if they're making something?" Mike said,
"In themselves? I mean, come on, if you drink this crap, it'll kill you." Max said,
"Yeah, if you're human," I said, then a sent I've know almost all my life made my fur stand up, walking past Nancy and the rest I entered the living room and saw a red stain on the carpet.
"What's wrong," Nancy said, as she appeared next to me along with the others.
"Blood," I said, this seemed to make something in Nancy mind click.
"Yesterday, Tom had a bandage on his forehead," Nancy said, as she picked up a wine bottle and handed it to me and smelt it and it was the same scent as the on on the floor.
" He was attacked," I responded, now that I had a clear sent I could see a trail on the floor as I followed it, I open a door that leads to the garage and saw a rope stopping at it. Jonathan bends down and looked at us.
"They must have tied them they must have taken them somewhere," he said,
"Mrs. Driscoll. She kept saying..."I have to go back." What if the flaying, it's taking place somewhere else?" Nancy questioned, "There must be a place where all this started, right?"
