Win was holding two ice creams in his hand while taking a break from his shift. Thannam joined him by sitting next to him. She thought Win was going to offer one but he started eating both by himself.

"Wouldn't it be basic courtesy to offer me one of it?" Thannam asked.

"I can buy for you one if you want," Win answered.

"Nevermind," Thannam rolled her eyes.

"I can really buy you one. I just always like to eat two ice creams at once."

"I noticed it for a long time but I never got to ask why."

Win just silently smiled.

[Flashback start]

Bright was merely 10 years old that year. He was holding a football in his hands while he stood in front of the neighborhood playground. It was New Years' Eve so his family was visiting their grandma's house. Bright wasn't familiar with the area. He was watching a bunch of other kids playing but he didn't dare to ask them to play with him.

However, he gained courage and walked into the playground. His tiny mouth made a noise, "Can I play with you guys?" The other boys playing stopped and turned at him. One of them smirked and walked towards Bright.

"Give us your football and we will!" one of the boys answered. Bright happily handed the new football to him. It was quite an expensive one and his father just bought it for him.

"You thought we would play with you! You rich kids are so easy to fool!" the boy stole the football and ran away with the rest of the kids.

Little Bright then started crying as he was left alone in the playground. He walked to the slides and hid under them to keep crying. Time passed by and the sun was starting to disappear from the horizon. He then heard a sound. It was a little boy his age running into space under the slide. Bright quickly wiped his tears.

"Who-" before Bright could ask questions, the mysterious little boy shushed Bright by covering his mouth. He then looked around and made sure no one was around.

"Be quiet na, I am running away from my mother," the little boy smiled.

"Why?"

"I stole two ice creams from the fridge. One was for my cousin, hahaha!" the little boy smiled.

Then he heard the growling sound from Bright's stomach. He had been crying here all evening and haven't eaten anything. The little boy then reluctantly handed one of his ice creams.

"I wanted to eat it but... here, take it. It's yours."

"I thought you want to eat two."

"It's okay. You look hungry."

Bright didn't say anything and started eating the ice cream. He was pretty hungry but he was just scared to go back to grandma's house. He was afraid his father would scold him for losing the football.

"Are you lost? I don't think I've seen you around here," the little boy asked.

"No, I am just scared to go home."

"But wouldn't your parents be worried? How about I walk you home?"

"Okay," Bright hiccuped while nodding his head.

After finishing the ice cream together, the little boy grabbed Bright's hands and they started walking. When they got to the grandma's house, Bright was quite hesitant to go in so the little boy rang the bell.

Bright's mother came to the door and when she saw Bright, she quickly hugged him. "I was so worried, did you know?" she cried.

"Sorry, mom," Bright frowned.

"Who are you, little one?" Bright mom asked the little boy.

"Uh, I live across you guys. I found him at the playground and he looked lost," the little boy answered with a smile.

"Thank you so much na! You are such a nice child. I am pretty sure you would grow up to be a nice man," Bright's mom patted the little boy's head.

"Next time, tell your mom to buy two ice creams," Bright told the little boy. The little boy smiled and nodded.
