Win was 45-minute late for his shift so he quickly rushed. However, senior residents were already there, scolding the other first-year residents.
"If one of you make mistakes, it's everyone's fault. I will not tolerate more than I already have!" P'Dim, the senior resident from cardiology yelled. It was the one who fabricated Bright's medical records. Usually, it wasn't P'Dim that was in charge of Win. He must've transferred.
"I'm sorry krub. I had some personal issues to take care of," Win quickly apologized and joined the rest of the first-year residents lining up.
P'Dim was going to say something but then he checked his phone first. He saw a message that made his face change from an angry one to a much more relaxed one. "Win Metawin, right?"
"Yes krub."
"So what I was saying is that if one of you guys make mistake, it's your responsibility to help one another. Win, next time if you're going to be late, text your colleagues. Don't let it happen again."
"Yes krub!" all the first-year residents answered at the same time.

Win was eating lunch when Thannam came and joined him. "I heard you got scolded by P'Dim this morning," she said.
"Yeah, I was late. It was my fault but I felt bad for the others. They were all scolded because of me."
"Don't worry a lot. He only got angry in the first place because one of the first-year residents didn't do a thorough check on patient history before surgery. The patient was on blood thinners."
"I thought he was mad at me."
"Well, he kind of was. I'm just telling it's entirely not your fault. Anyway, I wanted to ask-" Thannam stopped for a while as she spotted something on Win's neck.
"Why did you stop talking P'?"
"Win Metawin, what is that hickey on your neck? Last night... did you?" Thannam widened her eyes in awe. She didn't think things would escalate that quick.
"What? No! P'! We... we only slept together. Wait! I mean like just sleep like... sleep like normal people. We didn't do anything. We might've just... just kissed," Win tried his best to explain.
"That bastard said nothing happened," she mumbled to herself, cursing at Bright.
"What?"
"Nothing! Nothing! Tell me the details!"
"Not now though. I have to go see the senior residents. They are assigning new cases today. If I am late again, he'll kill me."
"You mean P'Dim? Aiya, he won't. He is- umm, he is a nice guy. I mean he's a nice guy."
"You are really weird today. I will talk to you later, P'!" Win then quickly rushed to the conference room.
After Win was gone, Thannam quickly called Bright.
"You little unthankful dickhead, you said nothing happened. How is there a hickey on Win's neck?" she yelled the first thing after Bright picked up.
"Nothing much happened. We did kiss a bit but that's just it."
"So you casually forgot to mention you guys kissed? And what's with P'Dim being their head resident? Did you do that?"
"No, it was a coincidence P'Dim got transferred but I did ask him to reduce the workload on Win. He looks so tired all the time."
"How long are you going to make P'Dim do things?"
"I just asked a favor! I didn't make him do things. Don't make me sound like a terrible person."
