Yunho was dreaming as usual, as you do, aware, but also not aware, visuals and such blurring by in his mind and flitting through his fingers in a wild spectrum of colours and shapes.

But unlike his usual dreams this one began to shift, to become clearer, more stabilised and defined. It was like he was waking up without ever actually waking up.

Slowly his body solidified into its new strange existence and he brushed his fingers through the very fabric that was his dream creating soft ripples of colour.

His bare feet soon touched down on unknown soil and a gentle breeze tousled his hair, as a soft beam of sunlight caressed his face.

Yunho looked about, terrified as to where he was, but also in awe of the beautiful lush forest he now stood in.

Its seemed expansive, endless, and almost magical. When he darted his head about little speckles of white flickered in the sunlight, on closer inspection it appeared to be quartz. The place he was now in was covered in it.

Yunho knew that something was not right, although he couldn't quite place his finger on it. He knew he was asleep, dreaming, but he couldn't help but wonder why he was so aware in said dream. It was like he was somewhere in between waking and slumber, wherever that may be.

Yunho took a look at his hands, that's what people told you to do right? Look at your hands and then you'll know if you are awake or asleep? Except as Yunho gazed down at his own slender fingers he had no idea whether he was achieving anything or not. His hands wer just his hands.

Yunho for lack of better ideas took a hesitant step forwards, finding his feet as if he were a baby learning to walk, his feet pressing between soft, green blades of grass.

Content that the ground wasn't going to crumble beneath him he took another step, and then another until he was walking between shrubs and trees of this ethereal landscape. If he had come here with his family he would have collected some of the quartz.

The lush area around him was both silent and alive as the sounds of leaves rustling and birds singing jostled through his ears.

All of a sudden laughter could be heard and Yunho spun on his spot trying to locate where it was coming from.

The laughter seemed to move around him and Yunho bit his lip both curious and frightened. Yunho felt like he was in a horror movie.

A flash of pink caught his eye between the trees.

Someone else was definitely here.

Yunho ran in the direction of pink and laughter that surfaced in the distance as if leading Yunho and showing him the way, drawing him deeper and deeper into the forest of green. Literally going against all the morals he'd learnt from his horror movie watching. You don't run to the creepy laughter, you should run from it!

The line of trees and shrubs to which he had been running through stopped, beyond them was a lake with the clearest water Yunho had sworn he ever saw, and a boy.

The boy, who looked about his age, was wearing a baby pink knit jumper, his eyes upturned crescents, his smile as wide as the sun. That smile calmed Yunho's beating heart; although Yunho was lost he somehow knew that he was safe. Evidently even that unnerved him.

The boy didn't look capable of anything bad, Yunho only hoped this judgement was correct, especially when the boy beckoned him over.

"Look! Look! Come quickly!" The boy called, summoning Yunho forwards with a cute swish of his hand.
