The first year the pair met passed, another year soon speeding by in an effortless flash before flowing into another.

Yunho would deny it if you asked, or rather anytime his mother asked him to talk about his feelings towards his soulmate, but Yunho had fallen in love with Yeosang.

It definitely was not the same sort of love soulmates normally would have, very far from it, but more of the love one might have for a younger sibling, at least that's what Yunho liked to tell himself. Yunho suspected Yeosang felt somewhat the same.

He did find him cute, he would admit that, and there were many occasions that would send heat rising to his cheeks, but dating him never really flitted across his mind, not entirely.

Both boys had aged somewhat, Yeosang's hair a little longer, Yunho a little bit taller.

Yeosang finally got rid of his training wheels on his bike after a lot of practising (and falling!), though they didn't ride their bikes much anymore.

Instead the boys found new ways to hang out and play, like climbing trees, playing in the lake, skipping rocks and pushing the boundaries of their world. It was amazing the things that Yunho could bring into the space.

Yeosang soon began to understand Yunho's concept of real world and dream world, and it troubled the smaller knowing he couldn't remember anything from the waking world like Yunho could. In a way it only made him that more attentive when Yunho spoke of life on the outside.

Yunho liked to chat and Yeosang loved to listen.

Yeosang had learnt a lot from Yunho, and his personality more so resembled his actual age with each passing day. Yunho was definitely a great influence on Yeosang.

Speaking of age the pair never spoke of ages. Yunho knew that if he brought it up then he'd have to accept and celebrate Yeosang's 7th and 8th [with this coming year] birthday, even with being accepting and all that just seemed too weird.

Because they didn't celebrate Yeosang's birthday, it's not like the younger brought it up anyway, they didn't celebrate Yunho's birthday either, not that he brought it up either.

That all changed a couple of days before Yunho's 18th; both in age, and love, and Yunho in no way saw it coming.

Yunho placed his arm behind his head watching the soft clouds pass by over head, he was sure he'd seen that cloud before, but he didn't really care.

The grass bellow his back and the sunlight from above were wrapping him in a comfortable cocoon, and the proximity of Yeosang gave him a safe sense of security.

The only sounds that could be heard was a rustling of leaves caused by a small breeze and both his own and Yeosang's breaths.

They'd done a bit of studying earlier. Yunho was trying to teach him year 9 trigonometry, of course though maths is boring and both boys had indeed gotten bored so they had decided to have a chill sesh out in the grass.

Yeosang rolled onto his stomach looking at Yunho "Hey Yun?"

"Yeah?"

"What sort of things do soulmates do in the real world? Are they like us? Do they hang out like we do?"

Yunho contemplated for a moment "In a way yes, soulmates hang out like we do, they also do . .other stuff,

"Other stuff?"

They'd talked about how soulmates come together to form a partnership, and how they date and marry and such, but they'd never really talked about what soulmates do, Yunho was face planting at suggesting at something that Yeosang might not understand.
