Yunho had the windows rolled down, country air blowing inside and sunlight warming his face through the front window. The radio was playing some soft rock and he tapped along to the beat with his fingers on his steering wheel.
He was very much enjoying watching all the cottage and manor style homes pass him by.
Each home seemed to be on an expansive lot, with endless amounts of space between it and its neighbour, and each home was nestled in between lush trees and colourful flowers.
The scenery was once again reminding Yunho of the space he shared with Yeosang, it was a place so luxuriant, so green so full of life...
A glint caught Yunho's eye in between the trees and Yunho almost slammed on his car breaks, not believing his eyes.
His eyes were playing tricks on him, they always were, this morning was a great example as to how his eyes were constantly fooling his mind, except this time for once he believed that to be untrue.
Yunho pulled his car over to the side of the road and practically flew out as he ran through trees, crunching through the abundant scenery around him.
"It can't be" Yunho told himself "It's impossible"
But it was possible so very possible as Yunho approached the shore, the shore to a very familiar lake.
Its water so clear you could see right through it.
Stones lining its edge.
And little flecks of quartz that seemed to sparkle under the sunlight.
It was the lake from his dream space, his and Yeosang's dream space.
This was too real and similar to just be a coincidence or trick of the eye. Given he was seeing it from another angle than to what he normally would, but it was most definitely the same lake, it was identical to the one in his dreams.
Yunho spun round assessing everything; the type of plants, the sounds, the smells, even the way the breeze seemed to flow off the lake and onto his face, it all mirrored the space he had been dreaming wandering in his whole life since he met Yeosang.
Yeosang
If this was the lake then that meant Yeosang had to be nearby right? Is this where Yeosang lives? Yeosang had always called the garden his home, and dreamscapes resemble real world places; he either lives here or has been here, Yunho hoped for the former.
Yunho travelled his eyes upon the horizon, along the hill of the valley that hugged the lake, searching for the impossible, yet sure enough he could see the house that sat atop the garden hill.
Yeosang's house sitting petite between trees, as clear as day, the clearest he'd ever seen it.
The rest of Yunho's day was forgotten, going back to work was the last thing on his mind, in fact the thought of work was so far gone it was like it wasn't on his mind at all anymore.
Yunho ran back to his car. He was going to see Yeosang. He was going to finally be with Yeosang, hold him in his arms and kiss him for real, he was finally going to understand Yeosang, how he was when he was not within the bounds of their minds.
This had to be Yeosang's house, it just had to be.
All his thoughts and questions could be answered, he just had to get to that house.
Yunho's heart was beating so fast it was like he had an arrhythmia, his hands shook and his legs were turning to jelly.
He started his car telling himself to breathe so he wouldn't implode.
Nothing else mattered as he drove, no, sped in the direction of Yeosang's house.
He occasionally lost sight of the house as he weaved up and down hills and in between trees of the windy country road, but he knew in his heart he was heading in the right direction.
Everything was coming together, everything was going to be perfect from here on out.
After a couple of dead ends later and Yunho was finally pulling into the drive way of the house he had only ever seen the back of.
Yunho felt like if he didn't move quick enough the sight before him would disappear, this day was too good to be true.
Yunho was out of breath, his lungs going haywire because of his lack of regular breathing.
As soon as Yunho stepped out of his car he was screaming Yeosang's name, not a doubt in his mind that there was a chance the younger might not even be here.
"YEOSANG!" Yunho yelled with fear and excitement running through his veins.
It didn't even flit through his mind as he ran around the side of the house towards the backyard that he was in a way trespassing.
This place, this garden it was his home just as much as it was Yeosang's.
"YEOSANG" he called again
"YEOSA-"
Yunho's heart stopped beating.
He stopped breathing.
He stopped moving.
There he was.
Sitting in a chair, dressed in a plan blue shirt and track pants, beside a table looking out towards trees the lake bellow. Looking as charming and beautiful as always.
It was weird to see Yeosang in clothes other than the usual pink knit jumper that the younger always wore. The jumper was so soft and warm just like Yeosang and it sat so comfortably on the smallers petite frame. Yunho was in a constant state of wanting to bury himself in that jumper and never let go.
Yeosang looked in thought, like he always did when he was drawing the flowers in the garden. Off in his own little world.
Yunho wiped his eyes, he couldn't for the life of him work out when he had started crying.
"Yeosang" Yunho repeated, in a softer voice, loud enough to be heard, but soft enough that it wouldn't startle Yeosang.
Yeosang was unresponsive. Was he wearing headphones? Yunho couldn't tell because Yeosang's ears were hidden beneath his beautiful mop of hair.
Yunho went to take a step forwards from where he had been standing only meters away but something or rather someone stopped him . .
. . .dragging him away.
"Sir this is private property. I'm going to have to ask you to leave" a man only a little shorter than him, yet quite muscular informed him in a blatant voice.
"No" Yunho said firmly, digging his feet into the ground.
The man to which was holding his arm, tried to pull him in the direction of the road.
"SIR, You cannot be here, you need to leave now or else I'll be calling the cops, and nobody wants that. You've seen the view, now leave please"
"I can't, I can't leave" Yunho sobbed as he struggled against the man's grip.
He was so close now.
"Why not?" The man asked, hopping that if he humoured Yunho then perhaps he'd leave on his own free will. This man was prepared to put up a fight, Yunho could see that.
"I need to speak to Yeosang"
"Yeosang?" the man questioned, there was a familiar air to how he said his name.
In his state of confusion he loosened the grip on Yunho's arm and Yunho ran to Yeosang disobeying the mans protests.
It'd be all fine if he could just get to and speak with Yeosang, Yeosang could explain everything.
Well . . That's what he had thought.
