Yunho woke up on Sunday morning, at 5 minutes to 8.

Yunho noted how simple it was coming out of this dream with his soulmate. He wasn't clutching his heart and he wasn't burning up like usual, instead he felt calm. It was as if the fact that the let the dream end naturally, rather than force himself awake by running to the edges of the dreamscapes compound, meant that he woke up naturally too.

Usually he would be trying to force the dream to end taking up all the energy he could muster, but this time he just let it come to a close, allowing darkness to swallow him and return him to his bedroom. He felt refreshed, it was nice.

He wondered, as he looked at his clock, whether waking up always around 7.30am and 8am had something to do with when Yeosang woke up where ever he was.

If that were the case, he also wondered why the other boy couldn't sleep in since it was Sunday.

Yunho sat up in bed for a while, not ready to leave his warm blankets and questioned his first real experience with his soulmate.

He was cute for a guy, Yunho would admit that, but he was weird.

The way he talked was simple, his vocabulary limited, and he acted as if he were a young boy starting in primary school rather than a high schooler, which is obviously what he was, he had to be.

If he was a child like he says he is then he'd look like a child, and if he were a child their dream world wouldn't exist, its not possible for it to. Yeosang just looked like a boy he'd find in class at school, they were somewhat the same height, Yunho a little taller. Why was it he said 6 and not 16?

Yunho, after a good half an hour of thinking, dragged himself to the shower, hoping the water would give his mind some clarity. He then headed down to the kitchen, giving his mum a kiss on the cheek before plonking himself with a huff at the dining room table.

"You're up early this morning" Mrs. Jeong said from over the kitchen bench, she was currently making pancakes.

Yunho nodded his head with a groan.

"What has you in such a grumpy mood? Did it not go well last night with your soulmate?" She questioned, her expression quizzical.

Yunho frowned and pursed his lips "My soulmate is just so damm weird"

"Language Yunho! That's your soulmate your talking about"

"But he is!!"

Mrs. Jeong gave Yunho a face as she slid some pancakes on a plate. "In what way is he weird?" she said as she walked over and popped that pancakes in front of Yunho. She had expected a more welcoming tale, his name perhaps, not that he's weird.

"Well for starters he calls his parents mummy and daddy" Yunho began, making his first point.

"You used to call your father and I mummy and daddy, I don't see anything wrong with that, it's rather cute actually" Mrs. Jeong said, cutting in and giving her rebuttal.

Yunho poked at his pancake on his plate while his mother continued to make pancakes for herself.

"Ok, how bout this. He says he's 6 years old. Why would he say something stupid like that?"

Mrs. Jeong gave Yunho a curious glance, "Ok. . .? Go on" she said, gesturing with her spatula for Yunho to continue as it was clear he had more to say. Clearly some supporting arguments?

" . .he acts so much like a kid! Like when I spoke with him last night he was drawing pictures and they were drawings like a little kid would draw"

"Maybe he's just not a very good drawer? Don't disapprove his efforts! I'm sure he's trying"

"Well maybe he could try and hold his crayon, and Yes thats right! A crayon! He was holding it like this . ."

Yunho demonstrated with his fork how Yeosang was holding the crayon.

"Maybe if he held it correctly his art wouldn't be so, so . .Ahh I can't think of the word. Like, why would he draw like that, surely someone taught him how to hold a pencil. . . well a crayon properly, right?"

"We each have our own style Yunho, maybe that's just how he draws? I don't see anything wrong with using a crayon" Mrs. Jeong tsked.

"It isn't just his drawing though! His handwriting is atrocious, it's all jumbled and backwards and upside down, it's a wonder he even knew how to spell my name when he drew a picture of us. It's as if he actually was 6!"

Yunho held up 6 fingers for emphasis.

"6! But he has to be 16 because how else would he have a soulmate ability? He doesn't look 6, it's not possible for him to be 6 . .Also! When I mentioned that we were soulmates he seemed to only have a vague idea what the term even meant."

By this point in time Mrs. Jeong had abandoned making her own pancakes in the kitchen and was now sitting across from a very troubled and befuddled Yunho.

"Mum what's wrong with him? Why is he like that?"

Mrs. Jeong really had no clue, a part of her wanted to believe that her sons soulmate was just playing a trick on her son because he had been running away from him all this time, perhaps it was a way to get back at him.

Call it mothers intuition but she was sure it was something else.

"What else did you do while you were in your dream?" she decided to ask instead, hoping to gain more of an understanding.

"We drew pictures and then I eventually just woke up" Yunho said before finally taking a bite of his pancake that was going cold.

"Hmmm" Mrs. Jeong pondered "I think maybe give it till the next time you meet him in your dreams, maybe he's just playing an elaborate trick on you? And If he wants to continue to act like a child then treat him like a child" she shrugged.

Yunho nodded agreeing with his mother, they were two valid points.

Mrs. Jeong made a funny little huff through her nose as if she were about to say something.

"What?" Yunho asked

Mrs. Jeong paused before answering "Maybe you could try offering him something a normal teenager might like? You know you have some control over the dream space as well right? Your soulmate has control over the look of the space and you can't necessarily change that, but you can bring things into the space, you just have to think it into existence. Maybe you just need to offer him something that will jog him into acting his own age?"

"I can bring things into the space? How? It's in my mind"

"You can. Now I don't know exactly how you do it, but I know you just think of something and then you can make it real, it's a bit like making a replica, hitting ctrl +c on something real and ctrl +v in your mind"

Yunho looked at his mum, slightly puzzled.

Mrs. Jeong sighed "Don't they teach you anything at school?"

Yunho furrowed his brows in confusion.

"Just eat you pancakes, you can do some research after" she smiled

Once she was back in the kitchen she looked over the bench at Yunho who was munching away.

"His personality put aside, what did you think of him? Was he cute?" she winked

Yunho immediately shoved a mouthful of pancakes in his mouth and shrugged as innocently as he could refusing to give a verbal answer.

Mrs. Jeong rolled her eyes "Do I at least get to know his name?"

Yunho stared down at his plate, not wanting his mum to read him like a book, she was very good at picking up on things that he himself hadn't noticed.

Yunho bit his lip "Yeosang . .his name is Yeosang"

Mrs. Jeong nodded, and when she was sure Yunho definitely wasn't looking she did a small little happy clap.

"Yeosang, sounds like a nice name" she thought.
